"We stayed at The Goatshed during the off season. Lots of rain ( even a "named" storm ) during our stay, and still it was absolutely magical. Everything we hoped it would be ! The villages in the area had lovely tavernas and incredible bakeries as well as grocery stores well stocked with everything you need. I spent a morning sipping coffee and listening to a Greek Orthodox memorial service being chanted nearby, another morning we watched the neighbors harvesting olive trees. The Goatshed itself is the epitome of shabby chic ! Everything you need done up in incredible casual style. Both inside and out The Goatshed is full of unique art and cozy nooks to curl up in. The banquet outside the kitchen door is amazing! Candles and pots of abundant greenery, little amazing art pieces,,,I could have spent many more hours in that little corner and still found new things to see.Fida and Chris are the ultimate hosts, from their exuberant greeting on arrival, the incredible treats and gifts awaiting us, to the great knowledge of the area and recommendations, you couldn't ask for finer hosts ! like their amazing home and Goatshed they are cool, funky, artsy, bright and a true joy to get to know ! I consider them friends and can't wait to see them again !!A broken knee cap, ( happened on the way to Greece ) days of rain and a huge Mediterranean storm ( Adel ) and we still enjoyed every minute of our stay at The Goatshed. "I spent nearly 40 years writing about travel, so I know a thing or two about hotels. Filanthi is a special place in every way. Yes, the sea is right outside and there’s a great restaurant below, but it’s far more than that. This building has been in the same family for many generations (see story in photo) and is now run by a young woman named Eugenia, who has done a flawless job of preserving the charm of her great-grandfather’s home while blending it with artistic, modern touches, for example, the way the beautiful bathroom tiles conjure hillsides of olive, citrus, and sage. She has also introduced comfort elements not typical of Greek hotels. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—nothing like the traditional board-like fare—and the shower was the best I experienced in four weeks of traveling through the Peloponnese. Every detail is unique and thoughtfully chosen; she should be proud of the years of work that went into creating such a space. There was a complimentary bottle of local wine in the room that I didn’t try, and though I never ordered one, my sea-view double came with a balcony cat who was charming and excellent company. My only suggestion: I hope she soon drops “The Project” from the name. In my experience, the hotel is already complete—elegant, well-finished, and deeply memorable."

"Wonderful property, peaceful, with tranquil, St Andreas beach. Nice restaurants in the area, shirt walk away. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage across the street from the beach. If you’re looking for a quiet setting with pristine beach, small town Greek charm, and friendly locals, this is the place for you. Short drive to historical castle in town of Koroni as well as other very nice beaches. "

"Property is excellent. It’s a bit of a trek if you take a car from Athens. I recommend taking a helicopter as it lands right at the property basically. Surrounding area is beautiful , great golf as well. "

"Rooms are fairly basic but with lots of space and great air conditioning. Loved dinner at the restaurant. Fab hotel beach and pool and perfect location to walk to local restaurants and shops on the water. Whole family loved our stay here!"
