Alone and abandoned

We arrived looking forward to our stay at this beautiful resort where the grounds included 2 pools and a large landscaped park-like area, and the setup guaranteed privacy. Turns out the place was unoccupied except for us! Not fun. They turned off the power during the day while we were out and then forgot to turn it on. Breakfast was a nightmare. Cold instant coffee, misunderstandings about every food, uncaring staff. One staff member told us that the owner is neglecting the hotel and refusing to bring in guests through promotions etc. They are making physical improvements such as an addition to a building and such as good upkeep of the grounds. But the bathroom attached to the restaurant was primitive filthy and unisex, mostly used by the builders and not maintained for guests. We were very disappointed.

超高性价比的酒店

非常非常超乎想象的一次住宿体验。位置离市场很近，步行五分钟就可以到达。白马本身就是一个很小的镇子，酒店就在主路边，在外面逛累了随时都可以回去休息，非常方便。老板是个很好的人，每天早上还会和我们打招呼，酒店内的环境特别好，每个房间的门口都有一个休闲的阳台。就算一天不出门，都可以在酒店内度过愉快的一天。泳池也很大，早上还可以看到有工作人员在清洁。用餐的地方也很舒适，可以看到整个花园和泳池，身心愉悦。希望早餐可以增加一些蔬菜沙拉，房间里的烧水壶因为是塑料的，用起来会有一点气味。总体来说，非常满意。

Not quite excellent

Staff were very helpful and organised cars from the airport and train station. Breakfast excellent. Grounds well kept. Only doesn't get an excellent as the bathroom and curtains were stained and grubby. Pool area nice and clean good location near sailing club, crab market and walking distance from beach.

Schöner Garten

Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer für 5 Tage, die insgesamt kleinste Version, im neueren Teil. Die Zimmer sind hübsch und liebevoll eingerichtet mit eigener Terrasse. Man muss wissen, dass das Bad keine Tür hat, vor dem Durchgang befindet sich ein Vorhang, die Trennmauer geht nicht bis zur Decke. Zwei Pools, einer stärker von Kindern frequentiert. Schöner weitläufiger Garten. Hotelrestaurant und Bar durchaus empfehlenswert mit vernünftigen Preisen. Viele französische Gäste. Frühstück im offenen Restaurantbereich mit ausreichendem Angebot, z.T. etwas rustikal, Service dort etwas lahm. Das Hotel hat eine Taxifahrt vom Phnom Penh Flughafen für 50 $ organisiert (Dauer 3 Stunden)

Fint hotell til en rimelig penge

Hotellet ligger fint og stille til i Kep. Det er kort gå avstand end til sjøen men et stykke til strand. Hyggelige og serviceinnstilte ansatte gjorde oppholdet til en fin opplevelse.

Wonderful resort in Kep

The positive - Beautiful surroundings - Very warm welcoming - Very good food and breakfast, the best we had in Cambodia and not expensive either. - Service minded and attentive staff - Two nice swimmingpools, one a bit deeper than the other (could have been cleaned from leaves and bugs more frequently) - The managers gave us good recommendations about the Kep area as well as both Sihanoukville and Phnom Penh. - Nice and tidy rooms - Wonderful to be there at low season because the place is so nice and calm and we had the staffs full attention, for example the cleaning staff kept track on when we had our breakfast and made sure to have our room cleaned before we got back from it. - The reception helped us with TukTuk whenever we needed one and also a car to drive us all the way to our hotel in Sihanoukville The negative - Really hard to find anything negative about this hotel, but the bedroom and the bathroom is the same room separated only by a two meter high wall not all the way up to the ceiling and a curtain for a door. This way you can "enjoy" each others private moments whether you like it or not. Privacy was not a big issue for us but as we all know the stomach is not always happy in Asia. We discussed with the managers on our departure and they were aware of this so it seems that the already have a plan to solve this issue. We will definitely return to Le Flamboyant Resort and highly recommend this to other tourists.

Possibly something better out there...

Only reason not recommended to friends is the distance to town, but still walkable if you're willing to kill some time in the heat. The A/C wasn't the greatest. Also, eating at the fish market, or the market in Kep left us ill for our stay. One of the staff informed us the market isn't the cleanest after we had gone, really nice fellow that offered to go to the pharmacy for drugs. We rented a scooter for 8 riel for the day. Didn't receive instructions other than how to start it. Seemed fine until we made it to the top of the National Park (and because the gauges didn't work) we didn't know that we had run out of fuel when it had quit. We coasted back down, put 2l of gas in and tried to go back up the park, but the gate was closed... Went back to the resort, still paid full price. The breakfast buffet also never occurred, some people said it was great, we never had that experience. Can say that the loneliness of the resort was peaceful and having 2 pools to ourselves was great. The beach in Kep is also not bad, and the ocean isn't clear, but didn't see any garbage washing up (better than Phi Phi).

호텔 자체는 좋았다. 직원도 친절했고..

호텔 자체는 좋았고 직원도 친절했기때문에 큰 불만은 없다고 볼수있다. 다만 여행사에 투어를 예약했는데. 아침에 여행사에서 픽업을 왔는데. 호텔에서 연락을 해주지 않아서 투어를 가지 못했다.... 나중에 여행사쪽에 이야기를 들어보니. 호텔에서 호텔에서 방갈로나 투어 예약이 가능한데 외부 여행사를 이용했으니 연락을 못해주겠다고 했다고한다. 덕분에 투어를 못가서 하루를 날려버렸다. 호텔은 좋고 만족스럽고 스텝들도 친절했으나. 결과적으로는 이곳 운영자의 서비스 마인드는 좀 아닌거 같다는 생각이든다.

Nice hotel in between beach and crab market

Hotel a 10 min walk to crab markets or a tuk tuk ride to beach. Deluxe bungalows are lovely but DO NOT pay extra for one with rooftop terrace because they are not fit for purpose. We did and was bitterly disappointed, the wood around the edge was rotten making it dangerous and it was filthy, it was covered in old leaves, I don't think anyone had been up there for months. Apart from that everything else was good. They also have a horse belonging to the hotel which wanders around freely grazing.

Recommended!

Very calm and relaxing resort at the edge of the small village of Kep. Nice à la carte breakfast when we were there since not a lot of guests. 10 minute walk to the crab market and just across the road from the sailing club. We lived in one of the bungalows to the right, it was nice but keep in mind that the wall between the room and the bath room doesn't go all the way up to the roof which reduces the privacy.

Agreable

Hotel un peu excentré. Moins flamboyant que son nom le laisse supposer, cet hotel est très agréable pour se reposer. Chambres spacieuses et propres. Jardin luxuriant avec 2 piscines. Personnel très aimable et aidant.

Great place for relaxation

This was a great choice for us for a three night stay. The room was large and clean and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.......nothing was too much trouble. It was about a 10 minute walk to the crab markets and about 3 minutes to the Sailing Club. Unfortunately, we were the only people in the resort for the three days we were there so, although it was great for us because we had two pools and the rest of the resort to ourselves, a place this good deserves a lot more customers. A great stay in a sweet resort.

Exceptionnel

Nous étions seuls pendant 4 jours (basse saison...) mais cela ne nous a pas déranger. Bien au contraire, un cadre merveilleux et bien entretenu, un personnel serviable et efficace qui plus est adorable. Grande émotion au moment de partir après 6 jours merveilleux
