家族経営で始まったホテルのようですが、とてもよかったです。スタッフも親切で、朝食も十分でした。高速道路からすぐのところにあり、湖水地方訪問のために二泊しました。ガソリンスタンド、コンビニのようなお店、カフェテリアがすぐそばにあり、ドリンクやサンドイッチなども買えます。ホテルのBarではドリンクの他にハンバーガーやサンドイッチも頂くことができます。」
「We could not fault our one night stay, the welcome on arival, the comfort of the room, the evening meal and breakfast, the friendliness of the staff were all first class. Our dog was really spoilt with attention and a bag of treats including a ball. A wonderful place to break a journey between north and south.

There was poor comunication between expedia and kings Head regards the number of people in our party for the room!
But staff did all in their power to compensate and make us comfortable!!
Will certainly go back and will give an excellent score.
Loved the food and everything about it!!
Only downside is - food stops at 8pm.
But they do ptovide a cold platter after this time that's delicious!

「I had a wonderful overnight stay here. The room was lovely, ver quiet with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. I did use the spa which was at extra cost but it was lovely and relaxing. I opted for the fine dining in the evening and it was outstanding. Breakfast was included and the menu had plenty of options from continental to freshly prepared hot options.The staff were very helpful and friendly- I will certainly rebut for a longer visit. 」

「We had a “new” room that was beautiful with a stunning bathroom. One thing could be better…a full-length mirror for the ladies. Breakfast was top class and dinner was also superb though our server was a bit random and forgot a second glass of wine. But the manager recovered very well by delivering at no cost! Location is good especially for a stop-over close to the M6.」
「Great stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. Breakfast had several choices and the avocado and poached egg was especially good. There's an awesome Indian restaurant called the mango tree just a few buildings down. Laundromat behind the Black Bull hotel which was very convenient. About 6 pounds to run the washer and one or two for the dryer. There's a tourist...
「We loved the pub and Alina really went out of her way to ensure we had a good stay/enjoyed our breakfast. We hope that they are able to get their plumber to fix their shower properly, as it fluctuated dangerously between scalding hot and cold.」
