"Staff were lovely. Hitel nice and clean. Frw stray hairs in bathroom, but no trouble to clean up. Breakfast was fresh, pletniful and good choice. Shame i didnt get to choose where yo sit, maybe I should have asked. Sat next to a man with zero table manners. Not the hotels fault"

"Shap Wells was an unexpected gem! The hotel was wonderfully decorated with stained glass and an “old world” feel. The room and hotel was clean and the food was excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking space was generous and we certainly felt safe! Beautiful place to stay with an interesting history!"

"What a beautiful cottage set in a fantastic location, alongside a river, within walking distance to waterfalls. No shop in the village but it was fine for us as we went out exploring all the lakes in the district so got what we needed when we were out.Spent the week here with my husband and our 3 daughters. Cottage was spotless and spacious with everything that we needed.A very king gesture of a welcome basket was left for us on our arrival milk, eggs, butter, jam, bread, biscuits, tea and coffee, just what we needed after a long journey.Added bonus for me a washing machine and a tumble dryer if needed, but we used the washing line outside when it was sunny.Garage was a great plus too, that we used to dry out our paddle board and wetsuits over the numerous lines in the garage.The girls loved the soft throws on top of all the beds and in the lounge area. Free WiFi too.Thanks so much for letting us stay in this beautiful cottage for the week, lots of memories made ❤️"

"The accommodation was very spacious but cozy. Log burner was a real treat. The beds were very comfortable (better than home). Kitchen had everything we needed. Village is adorable. The pub was friendly and food was good. Walks right from the front door. "

"Rural location but easy to find, secure car parking and plenty of space. Lovely clean rooms and bathrooms finished beautifully with great showers. Downstairs bedroom/shower room was perfect for elderly father who came with us.Only minor feedback which would have given 5* - similar priced rentals in other places provided a hamper on arrival and there were no terrestrial TV channels, the duvets were a little thin. It was very cold when we arrived but warmed up nicely with all the heaters on. "

"A beautiful cottage surrounded by lovely countryside. Easy access to the Lakes and Yorkshire dales both of which are stunning.The cottage is extremely well equipped and very comfortable with lovely gardens.Would thoroughly recommend to anyone visiting the area."
