"Room was clean when we arrived but a lot of bull ants in there, we had to spray insect repellent everyday to keep them out. Manager kept asking about payment for 2 rooms that were booked December 25 and fully paid for, there were 4 of us and I had booked rooms above the pool, we were the only people there but we were given different rooms because the staff had the pool view room. "My parents were there to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and although we celebrated a little late, they had such a wonderful experience. Quoting my dad “The birthday arrangement was beautiful, the cake was lovely, and the famous DoubleTree cookie was the best. The breakfast and dinner buffets were both excellent, and the amenities were exceptional.” What really stood out to them was the warmth and attention to detail throughout their stay. My mum still can’t stop complimenting the food; my parents have travelled all around Sri Lanka and tried many different cuisines, so coming from them, that is actually really huge to hear! Next time I’m in Lanka, I already know where my first stop will be. 10/10 for such a great stay!"

"It was a great stay. Different experience but great. Near to the Yala National Park and very nice place in contact with nature and the best... they offered evening and night walks which was amazing. Lovely PLace. It is a MUST!!! They also offer the safari tour to Yala National Park and it was AMAZING!!!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this property. I cannot think of anything we did not like. The location is beautiful, the room was fantastic, the food amazing (quality, variety and presentation), and the staff kind, professional, and efficient. We were welcomed and sent on our way by Dilshan. All waiters at the restaurant were wonderful but we would especially like to acknowledge the service of Chinthaka. We had great fun on our 4 safari tours with our excellent guide Yesi. We saw leopards, elephants, jackal, and many many beautiful birds. Yesi was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot.We have traveled all over the world - this will be a place to remember."

"We knew this would be an adventure in the jungle without normal comforts but this was really disappointing. The tent were generally quite dirty but the main problem is the only toilet on the whole site is in your own tent and out tent smelt of sewage so badly we left after one night as we could not stand another night there. There were also a million insects including a giant millipede as the zips do not completely seal off tent. Then the bar was not operating as their licence has expired. The bbq we really looked forward to was also really poor as we were sat on our own away from main area and it was completely cold by the time it got to us although other guests sat in main food area said same thing. Food came one hour late and as no access to any other food on site (they have no cafe) and nearby town is far away it seems they have you trapped as the breakfast we paid 30 dollars for and ate on safari consisted of some fruit and white bread sandwiches which were not that tasty. I do not normally complain but for the cost of dinner and breakfast being very high and feeling quite trapped with options then this seemed poor. The staff were friendly as per normal but you need to be warned it is overpriced, poorly run and very rough experience for us as a family. "
