Weekend Stay

We were staying here to meet up with friends who live in the City, we had a great long weekend here and the staff and facilities were excellent. Parking was pre booked and was easy to use and there was a superb choice of food for breakfast. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

We enjoyed our stay in clean and spa ious rooms. Breakfast was great and staff were helpful. The only negative about our stay was bugs in breakfast area. I hope hotel finds a way to remove those bugs from breakfast area to make it perfect.

Public parking was close. Hotel is right next to police station, city center, botanical gardens, and museum/palace. Heart of down town. Lots of good food around the area. Property staff were nice and accommodating. Cleanliness was ok. Gnats (small flying bugs) near fruit in breakfast area was not pleasant.

The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly. A 7 minute walk to the Palace in Karlsruhe. Excellent restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast buffet was very good. Something for everyone. Air conditioning was very good. It is possible to reserve a car park, just need to contact the hotel in advance. A very pleasant stay in Karlsruhe.

We chose Hotel Kaiserhof because we thought it would be only a couple of blocks from the Christmas market. Wrong. More like 40 feet. Service was outstanding, everyone was kind, informative and spoke excellent English. The room turned out to be a suite. Fairly spacious, modern and comfortable once these Floridians figured out the controls for hot water heat. Breakfast was the typical lavish German breakfast spread, plenty of everything. But the best part was the Christkindelmarkt, a totally different vibe from the international tourist town atmosphere of Strasbourg and Colmar. This was friendly, all local, not very big but a strong focus on local handmade products. Oh, and good festival food. And Gluehwein. And elaborately decorated stalls. And an appearance by Weinachtsmann himself, on a sleigh riding on twin cables 20 meters up! The kids loved it, including quite a few of the 70-year-old kids. A great experience!
