It was awfully packed over the full moon weekend (would not recommend visiting during this period)! This pavilion-like structure at the front Paththirippuwa, or Octagon. It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. Spent two nights here, room was clean, ac worked well and good hot water for taking a shower, the only issue is i was on the ground floor so close to the kitchen, where guests ate and staffed work so it was noisy in the mornings and evenings., but not much you can do about that so maybe request a room upstairs if your a light sleeper :) but overall id stay here again.

Fantastic staff and location

Spacious room, clean, good beds, fantastic and very friendly and helpful staff. Super location only 1.3 km to the busy center, the hotel is quite.

Graziosa ghestouse a due passi dal tempio

Graziosa ghestouse in stile coloniale, a pochi passi dal lago,silenziosa immersa nel verde, fuori dal traffico e dal caos, a dieci minuti a piedi dal tempio e dal centro. Gestione familiare, persone molto accoglienti e molto disponibili, cucina tipica preparata con cura. È un posto che ti fa sentire a casa e dove puoi rigenerarti dopo una giornata di viaggio. Ci torneremo.

Très bon accueil et service dans cette Guesthouse de Kandy, avec petit jardin, bien située près du lac et au calme (15/20 mn à pied du Temple). Très bon breakfast et diner. Chambres spacieuses et bien meublées - salon à l'étage

Pension très agréable

Bien situé à Kandy, la pension est jolie et au calme. Le personnel est charmant et je conseille leur chauffeur de tuktuk, très sympa et correct question prix, qui nous a conduit à Sigirya.

Great place for a few days in Kandy

Nice building and good sized room. Location is good, very close to the lake so walkable to the sacred tooth temple.

クチコミがとても良かったので選びましたが、正直がっかりしました。 場所がわかりにくく、ドライバーさんが何度も場所を尋ねていました。 家族４名で、プレミアム スイート 1 ベッドルームで予約したのですが、その部屋が利用できないという事で、２階の部屋と１階の部屋に別れて泊まりました。 ウェルカムドリンクで、紅茶をいただいたのは良かったです。 部屋は、広かったのですが、アメニティや冷蔵庫はなく、フェイスタオルや歯磨きコップも無かったので、言ってもらいました。布団は、薄い布（？）だけでした。（布団は無し。） シャワーは、壁のスイッチを入れて、（最初の説明無し）シャワーブース内にある温水器からシャワーが出てくる仕組みでしたが、暖かい水が十分には出てこなかったので、苦労しました。 朝食は、若い男性が一人で作ってくれましたが、（前日のチェックインの時は、女性の方もいたのですが、翌日は若い男性一人のみ）メインの卵料理が一人分ずつ出てくるのですが、出てくるのがとても遅かったです。 夕食は、キャンディ市内まで、20分ほど歩いて食べに行きました。 クチコミが良かっただけに残念です。あまりお勧めできません！

Gästehaus mit prima Service in ruhiger Lage

Sehr nettes kleines Gästehaus in ruhiger Lage mit sehr freundlichem Service, war nur etwas schwer zu finden (Tipp: Taxifahrer vorher anrufen lassen!) Das Frühstück war gut. Das Stadtzentrum ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Einzige Nachteile: TV funktionierte nicht, W-Lan hatte Aussetzer, Zimmer wurde während des Aufenthalts nicht gereinigt. Würden es dennoch wieder buchen. Auf dem Balkon konnte man die Affen füttern.

Disapointed

On arrival, wrong name written down, wrong room given. When finally sorted out the room had no amenities i.e. Kettle, toiletries, no glasses, no lamps, no pictures etc. the advertised view did not exist.

un grande maison bien entretenue

une grande maison parfaitement entretenue par des gens adorables, nous les remercions d ailleurs pour leur gentillesse et leur disponibilité, le petit déjeuner est varié, jus de fruits frais tous les jours, pâtisseries locales etc, il y a un jardin qu on aurait aimé aménagé histoire de pouvoir s y poser, le seul bemol est l éloignement du centre ville, il y a certes les tuk tuk...ou la marche le long du lac; mais bonne adresse quand même

l accueil est agréable, le personnel aux petits soins, la maison imposante même si le mobilier n est plus tout jeune; petit déjeuner copieux et excellent (jus de fruits frais, et petites attentions différentes tous les jours- pancakes, pâtisseries sri lankaises- on a juste regretté sa situation un peu excentrée mais bonne adresse

Excellent host in a quiet place

This is a relaxed place a little off the busy Kandy streets. A perfect place to calm down after a long day. The host is super nice and always helpful. We felt very welcome.

Great guest house run by a beautiful couple

Lovely hotel, older building with nice gardens. Rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. Far enough back from the lake road that you don't hear the constant traffic, yet close enough to walk to the town and temple. Couple who runs the guesthouse Prandeep and Wasana are absolutely gorgeous. They looked after us, were there for everything we needed and supplied a fantastic breakfast with the best scrambled eggs we'd had since we left home. On our first night Wasana also made us a fantastic curry for dinner, our only regret is that we didn't eat at home every night
