"Great stop to start our Sri Lanka trip"

"Arrived late after a long day flying. Check in was as swift as it could be and we were soon in our room. Clean and cool with comfy beds, toiletries available, water, etc. what more could you need for a stay between flights? Breakfast was delicious, plenty to choose from. But oddly tea was not readily available though they brewed a pot when I asked. The staff are all so lovely and extremely helpful and friendly. Laying by the pool is bliss (still here!) and they’ve given us a complimentary late checkout as our flight isn’t until this evening. Only downside is that no-one was there to meet us at the airport as promised. Our original flight was cancelled, I messaged the hotel with new flight details which was about 3 hrs later than the original, but never got a response so I assume it was not read. It meant after a long day of traveling we had to figure out how to get someone to come get us which frustratingly added another 40 minutes to our already long day. But overall would highly recommend this airport hotel. "

"We booked this hotel for our last night in Sri Lanka and it was by far the most rundown hotel we have stayed in. We booked the most expensive ($260 per night) room that they offered “ beach villa”. The room was in poor condition and looked nothing like a villa. Tv didn’t work and bed sheets were old and room was not clean. Ac blows directly on the bed so you can choose to either be freezing or be super hot. The hotel is on the beach but far from easy access to anything near by. Dinning options are at the buffet only and it’s like a 2 star restaurant. The buffet is $15 per person, kinda high for the quality of food and giving the fact you are in Sri Lanka. This hotel would be ok for $40 per night for someone that is on budget. $260 per night in Sri Lanka gets you by far nicer accommodation. "
