「My husband, our two dogs, and I got away from the hustle and bustle of Chicago to enjoy our time in the woods. The cabin was perfect for our family and was just the right size. Never felt too crowded. We roasted marshmallows and hot dogs on the fire pit and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The cabin was just isolated enough that we let our dogs run around off leash and enjoy. My only complaint is the size of the bed was a bit small and firm. Nancy was great to communicate with and very responsive....

「This home is very inviting and unique. My husband and I, another couple, and two dogs stayed for our anniversary. It was comfortable and had everything we needed to have a relaxing stay. We would defiantly stay hear again as it is perfectly located not to far from Traverse City, the Sleeping Bear Dunes, and the Leelanau peninsula.」

「We absolutely loved the property and cabin. Very relaxing. The only negative part out of our entire weekend was the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. We tried the pullout bed even but it was still hard as a rock just like the upstairs one. We would love to come back but hopefully there will be a different mattress available.」

「We have 6 couples that have gotten together for 21 years for a golf weekend. We travel all over Northern Michigan and need a VRBO that hs a bedroom for each couple. This home met all of our needs. I think the best part was having two well-stocked kitchens. We also loved its convenience to Crystal Mountain and Arcadia Bluffs.」

「Property was just as described. It is a fully functional older camper, perfectly suitable for 2 adults and up to 2 teens or 3 smaller children (IMHO). I enjoyed the hottub only once before my trip was cut short. It is next to the deck on back of house. We did find the bed somewhat hard, but added another comforter to sleep on and that helped a lot. Scott is readily available for assistance.」

「We were very happy with this property. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay for 1-2 people. It is actually bigger than what might be initially perceived when you consider the foyer as a place to store things (eg luggage), the balcony with a grill and the community propery sitting areas. And despite it being a small place it is nicely decorated. If you don't require gathering space within the unit it is perfect for sleeping, preparing simple meals and as a home base for the area...

「Easy to find and check in. Had everything we needed to have a cozy Spring weekend. Just the right amount of space. No traffic on the short road and easy access to the river, Hodenpyl Dam, and lots of National Forest trails. Short jump to Mesick for groceries and gas was very convenient. 「Overall the home was very nice and cozy. Only issues were minor, some silverware had to be rewashed, personal communication was non-existant leaving it unclear how to ask questions for like finding extra blankets...which we never found. 「The Shed is a little gem in northern Michigan with close and easy access to Crystal Mountain, Arcadia Bluffs, and Sleeping Bear Dunes, among others. Off the beaten path but a quick drive to Bear Lake for groceries and other essentials. Perfectly cozy for my wife and me, but also would be good for a family with 1-2 kids or even two couples. 「The property is very nice, smells wonderful when you walk in and found everything to be clean. We had a wonderful time sitting by the fire each night and the river was peaceful and relaxing. I do want to let future renters know that there is no cell service for Verizon at this location, but you can drive a few miles down the road and get cell service.」
