「The home owner wasn’t there to meet us or to say goodbye. The property definitely doesn’t qualify as luxury as listed in description but rather an old house that hasn’t seen improvements in furnishings, plumbing or decor. We stayed in the room next to the owners private bedroom and bathroom as opposed to having a private entry and space. 「If you have kids who would like to experience something new, loves farm animals and outdoors, this is the place. We stayed on October 24 on our last day in the south island. 「ウエリントンからフェリーで着いたピクトンで3泊した後バスでカイコウラへ。ベンダメアハウスには2泊しました。バス停の真上と言った方向にあり1遠回りの15分ぐらいの登りがしんどかった。チェックインは少し待たされたがきれいな庭、素晴らしい眺望と親切な奥様にほっとしました。部屋は洗面所が狭いぐらいで何も問題はありません。朝食の内容はたいしたことはありませんが、他の宿泊者の方々と話ができ楽しかった。特に上げるとしたらオーナーの奥様で、とても親切にしていただきました。翌日の観光では情報だけで無くスタート地点まで、また出発時はバス停まで車で送っていただけました。眺めの良いきれいな庭でゆったりのんびりでき感謝しています。」

「4 Adults and 1 child. Only a quick stop over to go whale watching the next morning (very convenient).
The host was lovely. The cottage was rustic but comfortable and cosy.
