We loved our stay in this comfortable guesthouse with panoramic views of the Wallowa mountain range. It was an added bonus that a new baby alpaca was born on the farm during our stay.
Beautiful views! Cute and clean. - 1 star as bed needs a box spring and mattress needs replaced.

Love this Farm House!
We returned for a second year to this Farm House. Great location, very clean and cozy. The views are amazing and the owners are the friendliest. We will return again next year.
This place is amazing. We've lived in Oregon our entire lives but this was our first visit to the Wallowa's and we couldn't have expected more. Our place was pristine in an equally pristine setting. So peaceful and quiet and loved walking down to feed the alpaca's in the evening. Right at the foot of the Wallowa mountains, very awesome!!!
Eagle Cap Farms is a hidden gem. And it’s exactly like advertised. Mountain views, daily sightings of deer, grouse, magpies, and feeding Alpacas and goats added to the overall charm. Sufficiently stocked spices and cookware awaited us in the kitchen. The place was comfortable and clean. Just what we needed.
Starry Nights and Alpaca Delights: A Perfect Getaway
This rental was a slice of paradise! The gorgeous views were stunning, the space was spotlessly clean, and the well-stocked kitchen made us feel right at home. The great amenities, including excellent Wi-Fi, were much appreciated. We particularly loved the unique experience of feeding the alpacas, goats, horses, and chickens, and the nighttime stargazing was incredible. While we couldn't bring our dogs this time, the thoughtful pet amenities made us wish we had, as it would have been a perfect place for them. One note: the driveway is long and has many deep potholes, so I'd strongly recommend not driving low-to-the-ground vehicles when visiting. We truly wished we could have stayed longer and can't wait to return.
We arrived late at night, but immediately settled in. The home was incredibly clean, the perfect temperature and easy to enter, despite me being a Luddite and generally having trouble with electronic locks. The furniture was all incredibly comfortable and the place had pretty much everything we needed. The setting was gorgeous and we had a view of the mountains, the surrounding fields, and the forest below. We fed the silly, free ranging alpacas, and fell in love with the group of horses, who we fed apples and carrots all weekend. We'd love to know their names!
This lovely property exceeded our expectations in every way, from our initial contact with the owner, to a swift response to our questions—clean, nicely appointed, thoughtfully designed to maximize enjoyment of the view—and oh, that view! Mountain peaks, colorful sunrises, deer galore…we’re already planning our return. Thank you!

our stay
We had a great time at your place. It is really lovely. I would have loved to read about the history of the building; Was it a barn originally, built brand new, etc. Plans for the pond? As you know we locked the alpacas in and maybe I missed that they are free range animals, but would have been nice to know that. Do you have plans for the other barn? I had a VRBO guesthouse here in Walla Walla, and I know that people enjoyed learning the history of the building, etc. The only other thing that we would have liked is an additional lamp in the living area for reading. We will be back.

Incredible Getaway
My husband & I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary & stayed at the Farmhouse at the base of the Eagle Caps. From the moment we drove up the driveway we knew we found a special place to stay. The views are spectacular, such a beautiful way to start & end the day. The house is so clean & gorgeous. Views from every window. The owners were right there to answer any questions & made us feel very special. Todd even drove out for a question we had & spent nice time just visiting with us. Loved not having a huge checklist upon leaving for check-out. They think of everything to make your stay unforgettable. We could have stayed for weeks. The walk down to the river, the little alpaca friends, coffee by the outside fire pit, gorgeous fireplace inside, so much attention to decorating, big bathroom, loved the double counters, the master bedroom loft was gorgeous! Great size kitchen! The mugs & dinnerware, such a special touch. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us. We hope to be back soon.
Wife and I spent 5 nights in this home in mid-October and it was perfect. We've been visiting the Joseph area for a long time. We've stayed on the lake, in numerous rental houses, in town, out of town...and this home was exactly what we were looking for. Its about a mile down a gravel driveway and you have no one around you. We were greeted by 3 alpacas. The furniture was truly comfortable which I rarely find in a rental property. Bed was high quality memory foam but is on the softer side. Electric shades were nice. Heated floors were also nice and the fireplace puts off a lot of heat. Communication with owners was always quick and helpful. I took a nap outside on the patio while it was 45° and it was so peaceful. Tons of deer. Walked through the property to the river...secluded with lots of potential to create a special place.
This property is not walking distance to anything...you'll need to drive into town which is only about 3 miles from the home. But if you go to NE Oregon to escape the daily grind of your life, this is a great property for you. You'll have as much privacy as you'd like and the views can not be beat.
The pictures and listing are all 100% correct and more. You will be blown away with a beautiful mountain getaway. The location is on a farm next to the Wallowa River and the Mountain views are absolutely incredible. This place has everything you need. My wife and i spent our 9th year anniversary here. We usually come to Joseph every other year. We rode the tram and did the Joseph branch railroad riders excursion to Enterprise. The farm has chickens and the most friendliest alpacas. The alpacas will eat outta your hand. The brown one named Pepsi and the white one were a joy to watch on the property. There was plenty of deer roaming around, geese flying overhead and quail running down the road. My wife loved the beautiful sunrise every morning and we enjoyed every sunset while bbq on the Traeger.
We met the super nice owner Todd and his children. Unbelievable hospitality. I could go on and on. But i dont want to give away to much information on our new secret Joseph getaway. Once you stay here you will not want to stay anywhere else in the Wallowa valley. Todd and his brother Andy have other locations to stay in the Wallowa Valley and im sure these other locations are just as good as our experience. They are currently redoing a hotel in Enterprise. Please check out their other locations ....you will not be disappointed...👍
Beautiful farmhouse in an amazing setting. Kitchen was very well-appointed for cooking. Great home for staying with pets. Location is gorgeous and close to Joseph and Wallowa Lake, with a ton of outdoor adventure opportunities.
We stayed 3 nights and this place was great. It was so nice to sit on the patio and watch the deer - there were many! The place was clean and set up really well and the owners are organized and responsive.
The house is perfect for a couple; clean, modern but cozy, and the views can't be beat. We will definitely come back.

Amazing views and beautiful property
We loved our stay at Eagle Cap Farms - the house is so lovely and relaxing and the yard is perfect. Our pups loved it too! We really appreciated Todd accommodating a last minute special request, and the treat of farm fresh eggs! Can't wait to visit again.
