"I first heard of this place about 4 years ago. A couple friends came here with their parents and added a third friend as they had a cancellation. Their description sounded too good to be real. So, a year later I came back with them to see if the rave reviews were real… let me tell you!!! THEY TRULY ARE!!!! So naturally I saved the contact info and made a mental note to come again. Tune in to this year and after a birthday in which I didn’t travel to celebrate it, I decided that it was time to return to the sunset lagoon. This time I kept it to my family. It was three of us. My cousin, my auntie and I. Carol and Dale are the ultimate hosts. How friendly they are, how helpful and attentive at a blink of an eye were there to your rescue. Yet when you are settled in they provide you with such privacy you wouldn’t think they were there. Now let’s talk about the food… I am an avid cook and I’m known to be a stickler about cooking from scratch and using the freshest ingredients. Can’t get fresher than getting it from the sea itself!!! With the proper ingredients that we brought with us we had such variety that we were able to prepare it in every imaginable form. Freshly shucked oysters, steamed with Chinese black bean sauce, clams in a sweet and sour, oysters Rockefeller, arroz con mariscos (Peruvian seafood rice dish) were just a few ways we enjoyed this gifts from the sea. If you book this place you will not regret it and won’t be able to wait to return again. I sure will"

"What a serene place to stay. So dang cute with all the fairy lights and the backlit bear. We had such restful sleep and the kitchen had more than enough supplies. So fun to sit on the deck and watch the stars and even the eclipse last night."

"Beautiful place to stay!! It was perfect. The kids loved the swings, fire pit and apples and blackberries to pick. The rooms were really comfortable, decorated so nicely and the host was so prompt in her responses to our needs. The downstairs rooms stayed cool with all the fans provided and the upstairs AC unit was great also.My few tiny bits of feedback!- a garbage disposal in the kitchen sink would be nice!- a little more attention to the plants ;), It's all so pretty and some weeding and general gardening along the borders would add to the beauty.- The picture of the kyacks on the water in the listing was a little bit misleading for me- I assumed there was water access closer than it was.We would stay again and highly recommend. Thank you!"
