Less than an hour's drive from Copenhagen, this iconic summer house offers magnificent panoramic views of Roskilde Fjord. The house is located on a large natural plot in the front row to the fjord, so the cozy living rooms almost merge with the sky, the water, and the large trees.
The original house dates back to 1967, but has since been extended and modernized. Most recently in the fall of 2025, when a new kitchen, new bathroom, an extra panoramic window, and a new and larger terrace were added.
The open kitchen is the heart and natural center of the house. Here, there is room to cook together, play cards at the table, enjoy a glass of wine, or simply disappear into deep conversation. Or enjoy the crackling fire in the wood-burning stove in the living room while watching the moon rise over the fjord, thinking that it was exactly here that the Vikings set sail on their great voyages.
No matter where you are, you will be able to enjoy the magical view across the fjord. You will have a constant feeling of being at one with nature. A completely unique and wild feeling, with wildlife such as deer and birds all around you. The large garden has its own fire pit, so you can cook your food outdoors.
The house is located in beautiful North Zealand, a short distance from some of Denmark's most historic sites, such as Jægerspris Castle, Frederiksborg Castle, and Roskilde with its royal tombs and Viking ships. Kulhuse, which has one of Denmark's most child-friendly beaches, is a 15-kilometer drive from the house.
