Welcome to this private 700 square feet (65 m2) apartment with 2 bedrooms, kitchenette, living room and one full bathroom. Buses to NYC Manhattan right outside — 15 mins to Midtown Times Square NYC. Shopping and dining nearby within walking distance. This is a private apartment located in an older building with other apartments. If you want a simple and affordable place very close to New York City, this is a good fit. No parties, events, or smoking -- this is strictly enforced.

The bedrooms have sleeping for 2 people in each room (queen bed in each room). The living room has sleeper sofa for 2 more people — total of 6 can sleep in the apartment. Work desk in the living room for remote workers.

If you need to park your car, please note there is a 2-hour parking limit on most streets during the day and you are not able to leave your car overnight on most streets. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for your vehicle when it is parked on the street.

Secure parking is available for an additional fee in the locked and gated driveway behind the building. You must pay the parking fee in advance to the host. The fee is $25 per car per night. The driveway can fit up to 2 cars. You will be able to lock and unlock the driveway gate to access your vehicle. Contact us in advance of booking for more details and to know if parking is available and how to pay for parking. The parking space may not be available for your travel dates so please contact us before booking to find out.

Buses very near the apartment will take you to NYC in about 15 minutes.

Nice family neighborhood with stores, laundromat, and restaurants nearby. Well lit at night. Good alternative to New York.

You can reach this location by taxi, Uber, or bus. The easiest way to NYC Midtown Manhattan is to take NJ Transit Bus 123 at the corner of 24th St and Palisade Ave (one block away). The return bus leaves from Gate 214 in Port Authority Bus Terminal. It costs $3.50 per ride. The ride takes about 15 minutes.

Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival, not earlier.

The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. We will not be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm). Early check-in and late check-out are not available. There is no luggage storage available.

Please note that this apartment is located in a historic, older building. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the building. The apartment looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it updated and clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced place very close to New York City, this would be a good space for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.

We also just want to make clear that you are renting an apartment and not a hotel room. There are many differences between short-term apartment rentals and hotels, and some newer guests to this platform may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. On the other hand, we are a small operation and manage our listings to the best of our ability. We try hard to create a good experience for my guests. We are including this disclaimer here because we have recently seen a rise in guests that seem to view listings as very similar to a hotel, but in reality the experience is quite different. Thank you in advance for understanding this.

Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. You will receive the email and/or text about 30 minutes after you confirm your booking. Please complete the verification prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process. You will be given the choice between a refundable security deposit (administrative fee for this option is $10) or a non-refundable damage waiver (the cost is $35). This process is required. It is not optional. You will not be given access to the listing unless your status is `approved` from Truvi. You will need a valid credit card in order to complete this process. We are fully disclosing this here so that a guest cannot claim after booking that this was not disclosed. We will not give refunds for reservations if you choose not to comply or you are not approved.

Note: If you pay us directly with a credit or debit card, we will ask you to send a photo of the front and back of the card, and we will ask you to sign a credit card authorization form. The name on the reservation must match the name on the credit card and the name on the ID.

Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).

If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.

Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchenette and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!

If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.

If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.

The owner is rude, unless he responds with templated messages. The Heater is controlled by him, and he keeps it to the bare minimum, there are walls that are open so you can see all the pipes running in the building and cold air coming from there. Shower was dirty, and the ceiling had holes so stuff was falling on the shower floor. Neighbors are very loud, doing some carpentry work at midnight. Not good for families, but might be okay for a single guy who just wants to go to the room to sleep.

The only clean thing was the beds, the ugly smelly towels, the bathroom with the pink lines of dirty and mold, the walls and the ceiling lamp almost fell, a sofa in the living room that seems to have been picked up from the street and to finish the kitchen did not work, all my groceries purchase was lost because we could not cook and the host does not care about anything. I didn't even finish the days of the reservation

Sinceramente me senti estafada el departamento estaba sucio,habia cucarachaa y ratas paseandose , olia a raton muerto. Es una pena porque está ubicado en un buen sector. NYC Stay

Overall the apartment was spacious and easy to get to the city. We were in town with friends to explore the city together. Check in was easy and the place was clean. It’s important to note no toilet paper or paper towels will be provided. We were barely at the apartment because of our busy week. However, the neighbors were very loud. Each morning we would wake up to constant yelling and breaking of things against the wall that backs up the apartment. It was alarming and disruptive to safety. I know this is not in the owners control but something to be aware of. Also, the toilet doesn’t flush very well and the water tank doesn’t fill always.

Nightmare Stay

We checked in very late, as our flight didn’t land until 10:30 PM. After arriving at the apartment, we were all exhausted from traveling all day. We quickly threw our bags down and went straight to bed. The next morning, we woke up early, eager to explore the Big Apple. We walked around all day and returned to the apartment around 7 PM.At that point, my youngest daughter came running, screaming that there was a rat in her room. I rushed to her room but didn’t see anything. As I was looking around, I heard my wife from the kitchen scream, "Rat!" I’m not sure if it was the same one my daughter saw or a different one.I immediately reached out to the host through the VRBO app but received no response. I then texted and called the number listed in the contract, but again, no response. By 8 PM, we were all exhausted from walking around all day, so we decided to sleep all four of us together on one mattress, as our kids were frightened. My plan was to wake up early the next morning and find a solution before leaving the apartment, as we had a day planned with tickets we couldn’t miss.Finally, the host responded, but his message was brief: "We will arrange for an exterminator tomorrow." There was no apology or empathy for the situation we were in. Keep in mind, we’d been there for less than 20 hours when this happened.I told him we couldn’t wait another day to resolve the issue.Unfortunately theres a character limit on this and wont let me share the nightmare this Host puts us th
