"This is my new favorite hotel! My room was nicely decorated and the more importantly clean and well maintained. The shower was amazing! I would like to have a fridge and microwave in the room but that's not a deal breaker. The casino is very nice. The restaurant is excellent! The food was delicious with very reasonable prices. I was thrilled that I didn't have to pay for parking! I will stay again!"

"I liked the overhead lighting in the room and the bed was good. I found it clean and it was a good value for the budget price. We stayed 9 nights and liked the location, A/C, and friendly staff. No Breakfast, but food on either side of motel."

"We loved this place. I took my daughter and 2 grandsons for a last outing before school and it didn't disappoint. The home was so clean and roomy. Nestled under several oak and black walnut trees (the 22-month old boy thought the walnuts were balls) makes it nice to sit outside without the sun bearing down on you. Easy entry and exit out of the property with a jet ski being pulled. A boat would work just fine. Sara is very prompt with communication, even when you get a little lost getting there (a bridge was unknowingly out on our original route). I most certainly would recommend this property for a quiet, comfortable stay by and awesome lake."

"Everything about this property was excellent grade. The only thing that could be improved is the AC. We were there for a week when the temperatures were in the high 90’s with an index of over 100. The second bedroom was especially hot to sleep in. Overall, we had a wonderful time"

"We may be more particular than most people. In our room (402), the door to the balcony needs repaired as is hard to open & the shower nozzle needs replaced. Cleaning of the room was just okay/not excellent. Pool area was beautiful & Doc’s was a nice amenity. We were particularly disappointed in the Summit Restaurant, which has excellent service but the food quality was lacking. Everything was heavily over-peppered. Overall Shanghai-La Resort is a beautiful facility in a gorgeous location. We just maybe expected a little higher standard in our room."
