The interior of the unit was clean, the maintenance of the unit was below expectations. We had light sockets with no covers. No smoke detector just wires hanging from the ceiling. The sofa cover was sloppily applied from use the dust ruffle for the king size bed was dragging on the floor, making it a tripping hazard. There were no hand towels in the primary bathroom. We had to use washcloths as hand towels. But most importantly, the lanai was absolutely filthy. We had to wash the high table and two chairs which it was obvious had not been done recently. The two low chairs that have cushions on them were so dirty that we couldn’t sit on them so we had to get towel towels. This is after we had such difficulty opening the slider because the track on the slider was so dirty. It was difficult for the slider to even open. I realize we were on the ocean and we have rented and owned property on the ocean and the windows were not just covered with salt. They were dirty and had not been cleaned in some time. Overall the experience was very disappointing given what is supposed to be a 10 star rating from everyone. To top off the entire experience was the checkout policy that clearly stated that if you did not follow ALL the instructions exactly and leave towels already washed and drying in the dryer you would be charged 50This entire experience leaves me questioning the reviews on VRBO and I wonder how many of them are actually authenticThese three rating is overall very genero
