Your island getaway begins with parking right outside the front door. This ground-level, single-story villa allows guests to park and walk right in with no stairs or elevators to navigate. Upon entering, you'll be immediately drawn to the spectacular view of the lagoon through the wall of glass that crosses the rear of the villa. Migratory and indigenous birds can be seen nesting in the enormous trees, while turtles swim along the bank and fish jump about, begging you to cast a line in the water.
Back inside, the custom designed kitchen offers an oversized island and large dining table perfectly arranged for sharing meals with family and friends. Enjoy appetizers outside in the private courtyard just off the kitchen while steaks sizzle on the gas grill. For guests who enjoy cooking, you'll find a nicely equipped, fully stocked kitchen featuring newer stainless appliances, including a wall oven, built-in microwave and a large refrigerator with an ice maker.
In the mornings, sip your coffee while lounging by the fireplace in the comfortably appointed sunroom. Be sure to notice the hummingbirds buzzing about the lush landscape. For lazy afternoons, curl up with a book on the comfy daybed. Then, after a day of exploring, tune in to your favorite shows on the 50-inch smart TV while relaxing on the large, cozy sectional. You may even want to pull out one of the board games or puzzles from the media cabinet.
No stay is an actual vacation if you can't get a restful night's sleep. With that in mind, the main bedroom is equipped with a luxurious pillow-top hybrid mattress. And that same wall of glass from the main area that mesmerized you earlier? It continues along the rear wall of the bedroom. The beautiful furnishings, ceiling fan and smart TV will ensure your complete comfort.
If this is a work trip, there is a dedicated office area that is connected to the main bedroom, but the views may be a little distracting. For longer stays, you'll find plenty of storage with the large closet, wide dresser and bedside chests. The main bathroom hasn't been overlooked either. Inside, you will find a custom walk-in shower and large marble vanity, and the soaring ceilings and skylight provide plenty of natural light.
Across the hall, the secondary bedroom features two custom-built, full-size beds with deluxe mattresses, extra pillows, and soft, cozy bedding. This room is designed with large windows, a spacious closet, ceiling fan and television. It is connected to a full bathroom that was renovated to include custom millwork, a new marble vanity and a shower/tub combination.
A full-sized washer and dryer means that you can pack light and guests are welcome to use any beach supplies available (beach towels are guaranteed.)
The AIP community is a sprawling 1,340-acre paradise that is surrounded by maritime forests, tidal salt marshes and pristine, sandy beaches. Rent bikes or a golf cart through a local vendor to explore. Golf is also available at many nice courses in the area, with Little Sandy and Oak Marsh right there within the AIP.
