"Location was excellent, breakfast was decent. Rooms are dated but clean. Staff was nice and helpful. I was not given the room I booked online, I ended up getting a room with 3 beds which occupied all the space in the room. Air conditioner was not working properly. Generally above average but not luxury."

Seven Hills Palace & Spa

"Every member of the staff was wonderful, from housekeepers to managers and everyone in between. The location is near central sites, yet away from the throng of tourists. The spa is a treat. Visually, the property is attractive. The guides and excursions arranged by the hotel were the outstanding. Poor maintenance overshadowed the charm of the building where our room was located. It was clean, but the 1950/1960 cooling system is not air conditioning. It blows centralized air across water pipes and took hours to cool with curtains closed. An electrical outlet pulled out of the wall. A guest on the first floor had the same problem. Outdoor speakers played music at night and in the morning. Single pane windows shared the sound in our room. The room itself was oddly arranged. The TV was behind the dresser mirror, far from the left side of the bed, such that viewing was impractical. The sofa was beside the dresser where the TV could not bee seen. I give the property an overall rating of four stars because the staff earned five stars. The room deserves two stars. Another guest might give an overall rating of three stars. I give four because the staff cannot be faulted for deficient capital expenditure funding."

"I chose The Emerald Mansion hotel because of the location. It's walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the grand bazzar and the tram stop is a short walk away. The beds are comfortable, breakfast is huge. I was on a fat free diet, so instead of giving me cheese, as part of the breakfast platter ( omlette, boiled egg, cheese, croissant, jams, honey, hazelnut spread, and a roll) they did fruit instead ( sliced apple and pear). All the staff are lovely and helpful especially Mel on Reception. She was great, very helpful and always smiling and happy to help. The hotel has 15 rooms, so it's intimate and cozy. There are shops and restaurants everywhere. We'd go back again."

"Honestly I was a bit skeptical about staying after reading the reviews, but I’m glad I did stay. It gave our visit to Istanbul a unique vibe, the ottoman architecture, a classic and beautiful hotel. The staff are very nice, the breakfast is worth the money because of the variation, but honestly not necessary. And the location is where you want to be. The perfect central location for tourists planning to visit different sites. The food is good price around the hotel compared to Sultanahmet area. Highly recommended P.S. do not change money at the exchange office in front of the hotel, just walk two more minutes and get the best exchange rate."
