「We booked Hempstead House for a relaxing night away, but instead spent the evening listening to a wedding reception directly beneath our room. The loud music, guests partying in the courtyard and noise from people returning to their rooms meant we had a very poor night’s sleep. I completely understand that weddings are an important part of the hotel’s business, and I have no issue with the wedding itself. What I do object to is being allocated a room overlooking the reception when we were not...

「Had an infestation of mosquitoes, storm flies and beetles in our room because of a shared hallway with the other cottage that had its light on permanently- attracting bugs into the hallways and into our room under the door. It was awful」

Hosts friendly and helpful as always. Cute seating area in the garden, plenty of parking and easy access to town, public transport. Will definitely stay again.」

「The linen was very fresh and clean smelling, owner very pleasant. The property is undergoing refurbishment, hence the low price. TV didnt work and fridge needed a clean, the loo brush was source of nasty smell. 」

「This was a beautiful small hotel, 8 rooms over a pub in the centre of town. Each room is different but mine (room 5) was amazing. Large bedroom and a spa line bathroom with a tub that would be perfect for wine and a bubble bath and a separate rainfall shower. Breakfast was included with a good sized menu. All the staff was friendly and helpful. There is no elevator, so you are carrying your luggage up and down a lot of stairs, but the staff always jump in to help. This property is owned by...
