Isle of Palms

Stayed here with friends for a golf outing at Wild Dunes. Our stay was fantastic and would book again! Walking distance to the beach was a plus and house was in a safe area. Isle of Palms treated us well. Cheers!

A great Christmas stay

The house is very large, quiet, near the water and very welcoming. The owner very kindly decorated for Christmas, and provided nice personal touches for the season. As VRBO owners ourselves, we appreciated that everything was thoughtfully laid out, all the equipment worked and there were plenty of nooks and private spaces where we could work puzzles, play chess, read or whatever suited us. All thirteen of us were very pleased.

Wonderful home, wonderful location

A lovely, welcoming home, perfect for a very large family. Elevator was great for my 96-year-old mother and my wife who needs knee replacement. Short walk to an UN-crowded beach. Minor problems with the house were corrected quickly. Highly recommend this lovely home.

NO HOT WATER! Contractors and maintenance men in and out of the house - noise and confusion.

The house is well located but not well maintained. There were so many issues with the property, starting with a broken picture and glass all over the second floor. The ice machine was jammed, the hot tub wasn't working but there was NO HOT WATER. The team at Wild Dunes tried their best to fix the problems but the hot water issue never got resolved. The owner should not have rented the house out. Supposedly we are getting a refund to compensate for the stressful experience so hopefully that will happen. But we can't get back the time for what was supposed to be a fun family reunion.

Overall

Overall great! Elevator never worked and it would have been nice to use for one of our guests. Hot tub didn’t work. Ice maker didn’t work. Wild dunes was nice to bring us ice when we called. Having several families staying there and not able to enjoy some of the amenities. House was very nice and worked well for us otherwise.

Destination Wedding

Everything was wonderful except for check-in process, which upon initial check-in at the Wild Dunes Gates, the communication could have been much better. If you're pulling a trailer full of wedding accessories, be sure to make arrangements for parking. Trailers are not allowed inside the resort, even for check-in.

Wedding Stay

This property was beautiful. We booked it for my family to stay in for the week of my wedding in Charleston, and it was perfect. It fit all of us comfortably, was well-appointed, and was feet from the beach. Highly highly recommend.

Beautiful home

Beautiful home but needs some updating. Kitchen had plenty of utensils and plates but lacked organization. Our group of 17 had plenty of space to spread out. We loved the pool table area for the adults and kids. The outside are is definite need of some cleaning and repair. Overall very nice.

Great spaces in a good location

Our family of nine, which included two young children, came from California, North Carolina and Virginia to spend Christmas week together in this beautiful home. We enjoyed the accommodations and the proximity to the beach and to Charleston, both of which we took advantage of numerous times. We did not use any of Wild Dunes facility during our winter stay, opting instead to cook together and enjoy family time and the family rituals of the holiday. We had plenty of space for group activity and also for alone time and would recommend this home to others seeking a comfortable well appointed accommodation. The photos and visual tour of this property lived up to the reality. It was clean upon arrival and the resort staff responded to our needs efficiently and in the best way available to them. Not everything worked in the home and the kitchen lacked some important items, but we managed just fine. All in all the property worked beautifully for us. A nice get-away.
