Work in progress
A grand pile in it's day, undergoing a gradual and much needed, refurbishment. The location is it's biggest pull, set quite high above town, with simply stunning views from frontal elevations. The welcome and general ambience proved pleasant and the public areas comfortable, tasteful and pleasing. Our (rear) bedroom was a relatively easy climb up the wide staircase to the first floor. It proved just adequate. Furnishings were functional, but a tad utility and tired, as were fixtures / fittings etc. Bathroom was adequate, with plenty of very hot water on tap! Dining was pretty average, also reflecting the need for an overhaul. Quite handy for the picturesque Toberory Main Street and it's varied attractions. Did I mention the views? If refurbishment is eventually completed, the Western Isles could be a winner!
