"It was comfortable and clean. Big space for a large party. Beds were good with fresh white bedding. Large rooms. Lovely old original features. Breath taking views. Quiet places to walk. Plenty to do in the area. I would recommend. Some updating perhaps on bathrooms. But still doable. We will visit again "

"Had an amazing stay here. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed! Super clean, well equipped and very spacious. Host was very attentive and responsive to queries. The only thing I’d say (which isn’t even a negative) but didn’t impact negatively on our stay would be having it more secure to allow dogs to go out slide door within living room area to the back without worrying they’d wander off. Will definitely return. We had an amazing Christmas here and made wonderful memories."

"This is an excellent house in a beautiful area. We had 15 guests ranging from 4 to 79 - the accommodation was perfect for all of our needs…it was warm, clean and comfortable. "Our favourite place to visit is the argyll and bute area, coming from the central belt with an eye to moving further north we really appreciate having nature on your doorstep and as a result we fell in love with this place. The hosts are very helpful, giving us updates on the day of arrival was so appreciated. Perfect spot for kayaking, fishing and hiking with a lovely, well kept lodge to return to at the end of the day. We're already looking to go back!"

"Really well equipped house with beautiful surroundings. After clear instructions of how to arrive and check in we felt warmly welcomed with fresh flowers and some chocolates from Oban. Plenty of lovely walks nearby, but the house was also a great place to use as a base to explore wider, from a trip to Oban (picking up more chocolates!) to a walk up Ben Cruachan. We’d love to stay again and continue to explore. Huge thanks to Fiona and Andy for being such great hosts!!"

"The Claredon shows its age for sure but that is to be expected... however, it is in a fantastic location location ! It is very basic, but has everything you need. I would not recommend if you have a hard time with stairs as there is no lift. All in all..it was all good. "
