Beautiful Sunset Lake cabin rental

The Bluegill is a cozy cabin located a stones throw from beautiful Sunset Lake in a resort setting with four other cabins in Iron River, Michigan. The cabin has a fully furnished kitchen, bathroom with shower, cable TV, electric fireplace, propane wall heater, AC, grill, deck with love seat, patio table and chairs, a full size bed in the bedroom and a queen size sofa sleeper so can accommodate two to four people. Due to no laundry on site you will have to provide your own towels, pillows, and bed linens.

Bring your own boat that you can dock at our pier (boat launch is 500 feet from the cabin) or rent a boat and /or motor in nearby Crystal Falls, MI. or Eagle River, WI. Sunset Lake is a 600 acres and is known for great fishing of panfish, bass, walleye, and northern. Clean your fish in our fish house which has running water and a freezer for your catch.
Enjoy swimming in the crystal clear water and make sure to bring your supplies for s’mores to enjoy as you have a campfire in the fire pit down by the lake. Get ready for sunset lakeside as it is absolutely beautiful and you will see for yourself that the lake has the perfect name. As darkness settles in the amazing stars and quite of the U.P. will leave you with a feeling of peace and contentment.

Enjoy the county park 500 feet away which has a large playground, basketball courts, baseball field, and it’s own large swimming beach.

Head into Iron River which is three miles west for supplies, shopping, great restaurants, amazing coffee and experience the hospitality of a beautiful small town.

Ready for more fun? It’s a short distance to ATV and biking trails, explore the many waterfalls in the area, take a drive to Lake Superior, book a guide for fly fishing and check out the many public hunting areas in the State and Federal forests for your next exciting hunt for deer, bear, grouse, and duck. There are so many things to enjoy in the Beautiful U. P.

We had a wonderful stay. The lake was beautiful, the cabin was stocked with all the necessities. Fishing was great right off the pier. Sunsets were awsome. Had campfires down by the lake. We also enjoyed exploreing the area. Bond falls was exceptional .

Never communicated with host. Didn’t need to. Check in, check out seamless per directions. Cozy cabin (tight spacing), well stocked with needed accoutrements. Affordable. Preferred to have been right on lake, but didn’t read descriptions as closely as I should have. Regardless, pleased with stay and would stay again.

Charming cabin

The cabin was perfect for two seniors. It was spotless well equipped and the bed was firm and very comfortable. Somehow I missed that there was no WiFi, which was a real inconvenience. I also thought we had a view of the lake which we did not. The communal setting for pier and fire pit didn’t work for us but may work for others.

Cabin is cute and perfect for my husband and I. Located right on the lake with the boat launch just down the road. We kayaked and fished. Used the fire pit for great night time bonfires.

First time in Michigan

It was wonderful. Perfect size for us. We will be back and maybe with our son and still the perfect size as you are not in the house you are out enjoying the scenery and company. We did a lot of hiking and saw many waterfalls. The neighbors in the other cabins were so nice and welcoming.

Enjoyable

The cabin was very comfortable and accessible was great it was small, but we didn't spend a lot of time in it, the only thing I would suggest is a toilet paper holder it was hard always trying to grab for the toilet paper when it was on the back of the toilet tank, I did leave coffee filters there because I use different ones and I figure since you had a coffee pot that uses basket filter I was more then happy to have some one able to use them, We are hoping to come back next year sometime, but not sure when,

sweet little cabin

this little place fit our needs for our getaway just fine (2 people with small dog). With 'little' being the operative word. Great area. Pretty lake. Nice neighbors. For prospective occupants: the oven is quite small and the temperature knob appears to be switched with one of the top range knobs, so it can be confusing and inaccurate.
