「Despite the rain we had a fantastic time in this excellent property. Well equipped and maintained professionally. My wife has limited mobility and was able to move around the property using sticks and a walker with no issues. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower which she could easily use with a shower seat as she was able to walk right up with the walker. 「The property is set in a stunning setting, opposite Blencathra, in a really quiet location. Unfortunately, however, the cottage has a rodent problem. Each morning we'd find mouse droppings underneath the fridge, on window ledges and by the sink. On leaving we also discovered mice had chewed through one of our bags.」

「The location is excellent, close to the city center. The parking opportunities are limited, fortunately unloading and loading is possible in the street of the location. The apartment is well equipped and sizable. However, the windows pf apartment 3 are facing an inner court with a venting system of a restaurant. It produces strong kitchen smells during most of the day. It should be discussed with the owner how to reduce the smells (with scrubs, perhaps).」

「We had a great holiday. We stay for 4 nights ( 4 adults and 2 children (10 and 6)). The lodge is very cosy and it is very spacious. My son was very happy watching the ducks swimming in the pond. Children watched rabbits running around outside the lodge. Our grandparents flew over from Lithuania and they were left awestruck. Highly recommended Many Thanks😊」

「Lovely cottage, well-equipped. Wonderful position for walking straight from the cottage, and the valley with its birdsong and red squirrels is a joy. The track up to the cottage has some slightly challenging moments for a standard small car that’s low to the ground, but we managed fine. Overall, a magical cottage in a magical setting.」

「Loved our stay. Our first family trip away with our 10 week old baby and even she loved it. We had everything we needed at our finger tips. The only slight downfall was the Wi-Fi connection. It was quite hard to connect to and very slow. Being in an area with poor reception for data, the Wi-Fi was definitely needed but we both struggled to get any use out of it. Amazing place though, would recommend. 」
