Amenities, facilities. The welcome pomelo. Staff are really lovely. Having your own pool and spa is fabulous My wife borrowed a bike to go for a ride with the family. The bikes are a bit old but fine but she took a tumble. They were great to help her out in terms of antiseptic etc.

Relaxing and amazing resort

Excellent hot springs and meditation resort. We added this hotel on our itinerary at the last minute and so glad we did! Not to be missed! They have a forest trail and great birding on the grounds

We’ve had a wonderful time celebrating our 10th year anniversary in this retreat. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. The resort amidst the lime caves is magnificent! The only pet peeve I had was the construction noise coming from the upcoming hospital next to the resort.

What a relaxing and beautiful place. I highly recommend the cave for dinner one night. It’s fine dining. The cave is so beautiful. It’s 250 million years old. Very romantic!

Stayed two nights for our honeymoon and it was worth every penny. We were given swan towels and rose petals on the bed and a congratulatory little cake. The private hot springs and plunge pool in our villa were excellent and nice to lounge in the outside/inside living area during thunderstorm. The staff were lovely, welcoming, attentive and friendly. We will definitely be coming back to Ipoh just for this beautiful gem.

A very unique, relaxing and peaceful hotspring resort unlike any place we have been to. The resort really makes you feel special and welcome with all the extras and convinces provided. The resort and its surrounding feels like a small piece of rainforest heaven with its hot spring dipping ponds, villas with your own hotspring Jacuzzis and pools, free evening yoga and meditation classes, 2 meditation caves, ome natural hot spring heated sauna cave, a mitchelen star worthy restaurant set in a natural cave (jeffs cellar), and a bar on a mountain side overlooking the forest and natural geothermal pool. Jeffs cellar served the most amazing 9 course meal we've had and thier staff were all knowledgeable and welcoming. This resort is beyond words, and well worth the price.

From the moment you arrive at The Banjaran you know that there is something special on offer. The photos do not prepare you for the beauty of the site, the mountain backdrop and lush jungle with gently weaving paths promising so much and tempting you to explore. The caves and hot springs, picture perfect pool and all day dining. The villas are perfectly presented and provide so much more than a standard room, spacious living space and private pools, balcony over the water or furnished terrace and well stocked mini bar. The vibe at Banjaran is laid back and low pressure. Long lazy delicious breakfasts and options to relax and decompress around the site, spa, sauna, pools and places to just site and watch the world go by. At the core of the Banjaran experience are the staff who are friendly, quietly efficient and always purposeful.

Paradise

We booked the Banjaran for the middle weekend of a two week second honeymoon. It was meant to be the highlight, and filled that role perfectly. From the moment we arrived we felt like we were being pampered in a very special place. Our water villa was absolutely lovely, and it was tempting to stay there, relax, and enjoy the tubs etc. But it was also worth venturing out to enjoy the various pools and caves. Jeff's Cellar provided an amazing dinner on our arrival night, and we chose the 'In Private' BBQ to be served in our room for the second night, which was amazing (but way too much food for us to finish). A few reviews mention problems with bugs and monkeys. I managed to pick up a few bug bites on the golf cart ride to the villa, and after that the supplied repellent mostly kept them away. But it's probably a good idea to apply repellent before arrival. The resort isn't particularly bad though - I got a similar batch of bites on an evening walk through Singapore. We were treated to the spectacle of the monkeys sat on our villa roof tearing apart a packaged loofah they'd pinched from a service cart, but that was more amusing than problematic. A two night stay felt about right. We could have maybe kept ourselves occupied for another day, but there's only so much hot tub one can take.
