1) The hotel and the rooms was very clean and presentable. 2) Staff was very friendly and approachable. They recommended some places and foods nearby. 3) The room's facilities was very good. The room and the bathroom is very big and spacious. 4) Lot's of food choices around the area. And the convenience store is also nearby. Shopping mall Ipoh Parade also quite near. My family including me really liked this place and will definitely come back here.

The bedrock hotel is a great place to stay and Debbie the manager and all the staff are wonderful. The hotel is spotless and the breakfast was really nice. Good choice of western and Malaysian and buffet. If you visit Ipoh this is the place to stay

The room is spacious! With one master bedroom and stairs connecting to another bedroom in the attic (3 beds and 2 bathrooms in total). The staff members (especially the manager) and the owner were extremely helpful and friendly. They gave us detailed information about local attractions and eateries, and also gave some medicine for my dad when he suffered from diarrhea. Probably the best hotel in town!

The highlights were the superb bedroom with a very comfortable bed, power shower and so much space. A free room safe, a coffee machine and plenty of storage options. We also found the staff were super friendly giving us great advice and cheerful greetings. The only negative was the limited breakfast choices

Many good eateries within the vicinity. The owner is always around to give very good suggestions as to what to eat and where to visit. They are very kind and helpful. The 4day 3 night stay was excellent! 👍👍👍

Great hotel but a little quirky.

We enjoyed our stay at Bedrock. It was a very large and comfortable room. Staff were great and only a short walk to the new and old towns. Enjoyed the artworks. However, some of the maintenance done to the room is a little amateurish, especially in the bathroom. But nothing so serious that I would not stay here again, just a bit quirky.

Thought I have walked in to an art gallery the moment I entered the main entrance. This hotel has lots of rocks and modern art pieces display in common area as well as in room. We were welcome by friendly Debbie and Mr Yap. They deserved a service excellence award! Hot and cold water dispenser as well as expresso coffee machine (with 2 capsule) is a plus point. There is also a big bath tub though not eco-friendly. My wife left her mobile phone in the room on 2nd day of our stays. The room was cleaned when we are back in the afternoon. Her mobile phone still on the table untouched. Thanks to the honest room staff🙏

This is only a small hotel but it tries to offer a memorable stay. The in-room espresso machine and water dispenser (hot and cold) is a lovely touch. Good selection of tv channels (particularly if you are a sports fan). We had a front facing room and it was quite noisy and the curtains are not blackout ones so the advertising lights from outside was a little irritating. The street wakes up early so little chance of a lie-in. The staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast was simple - we were offered eggs, sausages, hash brown, beans and chopped tomatoes. You can have bread/toast/croissaants, cereal and free flow tea or coffee. Will stay here again if we are in Ipoh.

If your expecting a gem, you'll be dissapointed.

When we arrived the hotel was closed to all other guests as they had plumbers in replacing the pipework, and furniture was stacked in the corridors. During the first night of our three nught stay, the new pipework leaked above our bathroom ceiling and soaked our toiletry and cosmetic bags and their contents. We were told that we couldn't move to another room because the hotel was reopening a couple of days later and was fully booked. I dont really understand the logic behind that. The second night was uneventful as the plumber had returned to fix the leak, but during the third evening the air conditioner unit started leaking quite a lot of water onto the floor. An aircon fitter was summoned to fix it whilst we were waiting to shower to go out for the evening. I really cannot understand the rave reviews for this place. It is in a scruffy street. The windows are filthy, there was a horrible artificial fibre shag pile rug on the floor that was matted with who knows what. The breakfast was average with stale cereals and "long life" pastries. It would have been much better for both them and us if they had cancelled our reservation once they realised that workmen would be in the hotel during our stay. I can only guess that they wanted our money.

We were sent to have fantastic local food at local area, superb. Although the hotel is not surrounded by examples like itself- Bedrock is very comfortable. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. If I was to make one hint, to have more Western options at breakfast like fruit and yogurt. Debbie and Mr Lee were great hosts who will no doubt help in any way
