"We had an absolutely wonderful time at this cottage. I would come back in a heartbeat. With a full kitchen we were able to make dinner and plan meals for our day trips. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of blankets for the chillier nights. The grounds were beautiful with lots of space for the kids to play. The back porch was a peaceful place to have a cup of coffee in the morning. I don’t have any negative comments, nothing could have been better. It was absolutely perfect. "

Little playground for the kids was a nice touch, especially when the parents were trying to pack up. We did notice that the fridge didn't seem to be cleaned from the last guest. "We loved the stay here at the Writer’s Retreat which was only a short distance from a wedding venue (Dundee Golf and Country Club). It is pet friendly and our dog Charlie felt right at home plus it was great to have a nice safe path to walk Charlie to the lakeshore where we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the salt water lake. Sandy and John are excellent hosts. "
