Charming accommodations right on the River Ness. We had a 3 bedroom apartment and 1 loft hotel room for our group. Both rooms were spotless upon on check in with comfortable beds, ample towels and extra bedding. The buildings are Victorian era buildings - separate hot/cold taps in bathrooms, no elevators, every room with it's own door in the apartment unlike modern open living concepts etc. and we were totally okay with that. The staff was courteous, professional and helpful as we arrived a few hours before our check in time. The pub area of the distillery was great to hang out in with a cozy yet energetic vibe. Most of the downtown/old town sights are just a few steps out the door. It is a bonus that they have onsite parking for guests. We would absolutely stay with them again.

Apartment was very clean and obviously well maintained. Had dinner in the Waterside restaurant and it was excellent, sea bass was amazing and the staff were very professional. £12 to park overnight in hotel car park, come on Glenn Mhor, thats extortion and will be off putting for future stays for sure !!

TERRIBLE experience at Glen Mhor Hotel Inverness. Paid $617 CA and was given a room that smelled of wet/dirty dog. The cleanliness level was abhorrent -- mold in the bathroom, and we could see where the last guests had taken a drink from the glasses provided -- they had not been cleaned up to health code. We went to staff with our issues and they were unable to help us. They gave us the contact info for the Front Office Manager, telling us to contact her later -- that she would help with some resolution to the unacceptable room issues. Upon contacting that Manager we were treated as if our issues were mundane. We were offered a free night's stay at the hotel. She offered this knowing full well that due to proximity we would never be able to take her up on the offer. I requested a small amount of refund to make up for the horrible experience -- she refused. I believe this is a sort of scam that is used on tourists and visitors to the hotel. For the kind of money we paid, we should have been able to at least have a decent night's sleep in our hotel room. Instead, we were stuck smelling wet, dirty dog stench all night -- and didn't feel comfortable touching any of the soft surfaces in the rooms.

What a lovely place! We were impressed with the cleanliness, the comfort, the kindness of all staff and the great location! We stayed in one of the apartments and would stay there again! The hotel restaurant is delicious and we highly recommend. We have only great things to say about this lovely place!

Recommended stay

The aparmtent was really nice. We arrived early and were abke to check in a little bit earlier aswell. We found all the staff we spoke to really helpful. The partment was clean and tidy and contained everything we needed. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

Beautiful facilities and great restaurants with friendly staff. Our room was in desperate need of a remodel. The ceiling leaked into the living room area (which was more concerning since we were ground level with rooms above us) and carpet and lighting certainly needed updated. Overall, it was an okay location.

We loved the apartment- spacious, clean, beautiful kitchen. We arrived later so we were not able to eat at the restaurant. A flight of stairs to get into the apartment- no lift. Great big bathtub, large comfortable beds. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Lovely apartment in a great location. The only fault I have is that the apartment wasn’t very clean. There was rubbish left over from previous guests under both nightstands and the bath was covered in dirty marks.

Our stay was wonderful. We loved being so close to the River Ness and it’s beautiful walking paths. The Glen Mhor is also close to the center of town for easy access to food and shopping. One thing that would have been nice in our apartment was working windows in the dining and lounge area. It was very hot with no way to open the windows for relief as they were sealed shut and the sliding door was locked.

Loved the east walk to city center and all the upgrades around the property. The waterside, their on site restaurant was disorganized and at the end of the stay, there were several charges to our account that did not belong to us. The staff members at check out got it all sorted. Other than the on-site restaurant, this was a wonderful place to stay!

We stayed in apartment seven. Location is great but the apartment was dusty in areas, several light bulbs were blown and the front door was drafty and had a crack in it. There was a radiator on the one wall that had a panel falling off that didn’t seem safe for kids. Windows opening wide also a hazard for younger children. Maintenance seems to be an issue and I would not stay here again.

Very well located, apartment itself very spacious and clean. Was lacking supplies and when I asked at desk for basic supplies they were not helpful or friendly at all. The area around the apartment/courtyard/alley the entire week we were there was constantly filled with litter. Regardless of those minor things we enjoyed our stay.
