The place is very quiet, clean and good location. It was a little difficult to find the address and how to check in , but was my mistake to expect reception. Actually I really appreciated their way of checking in.

Dirty under the bed. Didn’t see a single staff member whilst there. Communication was terrible. The room was freezing and the radiators didn’t work. The shower was Luke warm but couldn’t find anyone to report to. The quilts were really thin and the beds were lumpy. We ended up leaving after two nights and paying for somewhere else as it was too cold st stay there. Only one pillow each as well which were really thin

1st, the location of this hostel is not where it shows on the map. 2nd make sure you pay close attention to how to properly LOCK the door, people will just walk in otherwise. 3rd the earliest the kitchen is open is 7:30 am. Aside from these points, this location is a great value for the money and the area. We were able to get to Lochness/Urquhart Castle ruins in 15 minutes by car. We had 4 adults in our room. 3 beds, bedding, toilet, a roll of toilet paper, shower, hot water, working heat, and UK plug-ins all provided and worked properly. (Bring your own towels.) We were very pleased with the accommodations and recommend for a basic, economical, no frills stay. Thank you for providing this safe, convenient option for those on a budget.

I was messaged that I would need to self check in on arrival which wasn't an issue but no details were sent on which room number I was or where/ how to collect key. The number provided took many attempts to contact. The site is very run down, rooms in poor condition, not even dispensed hand soap in the bathrooms and I expected dispensed shower gel but absolutely nothing. The site has been run into the ground, room dirty and bedding all stained. Mattresses have had their day, a really terrible experience for a £90 a night stay!!! I would avoid and take a tent or sleep in your car for better comfort

Freezing all night. Especially the floor. Had to call to get info about which room we were in since no info had been sent, even though I had emailed earlier in the day for info. Woken up by another guest after dark who knocked on our window to find out which room they had been allocated.

Unfortunately, our experience was very different from what the photos and description had led us to expect. We arrived in the evening, took one look at the room and the surrounding property, and ultimately decided that we did not feel comfortable staying there and had to find another hotel at short notice. The room itself was very disappointing. There were cobwebs on the ceiling, dead insects, and the floor and overall condition felt unattractive and poorly maintained. There was also an unpleasant smell. Ventilation was a major issue: the only small window was in the bathroom, so there was practically no way to get fresh air into the room without leaving the door open. The outside area was also quite different from the impression given by the photos. The whole property felt rather neglected and, to us, looked more like a storage yard with trailers than a welcoming place to stay. The terrace was a single shared area for everyone and was completely in the shade – something that was not apparent to us from the listing. Before giving up completely, we had a look at the communal kitchen, hoping this might change our impression. Unfortunately, it did not. The kitchen was considerably smaller than it appeared in the photos and had more of a basic youth-hostel feel. Next to it was an open room or doorway with a large amount of what looked like dryer lint or similar debris lying on the floor. In another very visible area, bags of used laundry were piled up behind the windows.
