「I had a third floor room and the elevator quit working after I arrived. Having bad knees and using a cane, this was a major inconvenience. Staff started looking for a room on ground floor the next morning and found one. Staff was very helpful in moving my luggage. Settling in to the ground floor room, I find that the bathroom fan is rattling loudly and unable to use. The staff said that they have no idea when parts were coming for the fan or the elevator. I was disappointed with my stay here.」

「The good: Quiet area and good sound barrier between rooms. Friendly check in staff. The Bad: Drapes do not fully cover window. No blackout blinds. Smoke alarm not maintained (flashing trouble code). Dirty floors (dusty/gritty). Dirty bedding (dust, bits of hair). If they clean the rooms, they clean them with the door open during dust storms. Shower head clogged.」

「We thought Tim, the owner was great! All contact with staff was efficient and helpful. There is a large community space that we enjoyed. The breakfast was not what we loved. The private space was large and the separate tub and shower with double sinks was great. The room was bright. It is a bit of a work in progress but in the end it worked very well. 」

「In some regard you get what you pay for I suppose, and never having been at a hostel, maybe it is to be expected, but I can’t imagine so. First, out front the whole time we were there were three people sitting by the front door smoking and possibly more, covering the sidewalk with butts and garbage. Once we got in the place reeked of either mildew or feet, it was bad. No AC of course so the room was probably 85 degrees. The best part was when my son in law wanted to take a shower, he called for...
