PLEASE NOTE: The road in front of our property, US 31 is undergoing repairs from 4.01.06 to 11.1.06. Only West bound traffic will be allowed, easy detour for guests traveling from the East. There will be delays and noise, they are required to keep our drive open at all times. So if you heading towards a Traverse City location there will be a detour to the East first. Just want all guests to be aware of the situation. Hot Tub! SLEEPS 6 Pet Friendly Boat to use Fire Place Fire Pit Gazebo down by the Lake The Grey Stone House is close to numerous activities & great restaurants. We can sleep 6 total guests. Our vacation home is a Duplex located on 16 acre Tullers Lake, a private lake. We offer a home-like atmosphere and provide a unique alternative to traditional hotel accommodations. With A/C
This special property features 2 separate units that are not connected internally aka a Duplex. Here are a few things PEOPLE LOVE about The Grey Stone House
#1 Location, 5 minutes to Interlochen Arts Academy 20 minutes to Traverse City 26 miles to the Sleeping Bears Dunes 17miles to Crystal Mountain 3 miles to the Blue Bridge Events Center 1/2 mile to Interlochen Golf course 30 miles to The Homested Located right off of US 31 Just 1/2 mile from the traffic light in Interlochen.
#2 Our house is newly remodeled, the unit is AIR CONDITIONED for those warm summer days, great effort has went into sound proofing one side from the other, this is what a recent guest had to say (The way the duplex is set up your privacy is not compromised at all. In fact I would of never known we had a neighbor unless I saw their car. We did not hear a peep. Gaea)
#3 Our FIRE PIT area, after exploring our beautiful area for the day come home and relax at by a fire, it is just a real cool place to hang out overlooking the lake.
#4 THE LAKE, we have a boat for your use, Row around the lake, Oh yes there is fish in it as well. Bring your Poles!
#4 The YARD, PATIO & LAKE are awesome since it allows you to enjoy the best days of summer outside and grill to your heart's delight with the GRILL found there!
#5 Gazebo down by the lake.
Here are 3 THINGS TO CONSIDER before renting. #1 NO PARTIES are permitted in our house or property at all times during your stay.
#2 Our house is nice but its not perfect for all people, even though we have put lots of effort into this place there are always small what seem like trivial issues to most that really upset others such as, this house is a Duplex, there is no bathtub we have a stand up shower, there is no dishwasher, located RIGHT OFF of US 31, road noise when outside etc.
#3 We ask all our guests to respect the neighbors and to not be loud or yell or play loud music inside and outside the building at all times during their stay. We expect our Guests to be quiet after 11:00PM. So if you intend to behave like a party animal, our place is not for you but if you intend to behave like a resident, you should love your stay. Now that this is clear, let's get to the description of the place!

Not a whole lot of room for 5 guys to stay in but for the price, absolutely no complaints. Placed us in a location that was about 30 mins from both sleeping Bear Dunes and also Traverse City. Served as a great base camp for all the other northern Michigan activities.
Beautiful piece of property on the lake. Nice set up with fire pit, hot tub & very clean house. Slept 6 adults fine - pull out not comfortable - could use a topper mattress
Lovely house perfect for a family of five. Easy drive for Sleeping Bear Dunes fun for daytime and to return to a peaceful home for evening relaxing. Clean and cozy!
We enjoyed our stay. The space was clean and the perfect size for us. It had everything we needed for our stay. It is located by a very busy road and can be somewhat loud other than that it is pretty private.
We arrived in the evening and just spent one night. It was easy to find and the outdoor space was excellent. The interior is clean and functional and the beds were fabulously comfortable. Would definitely stay again.
Good check in directions. Had everything we needed for a comfortable overnight stay. They even have paddle boats and wood for a Campfire. I didnt realize it is a duplex, but that didnt bother us at all. Will stay again if we are ever up th I s way!
The property was in a great location located in town. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There was even a really cool pond behind the property that we had fun fishing in addition the the fishing on Grand Traverse Bay, which was the real reason we rented this house.
Great location to spend the day in TC. Read the owners recommendation for eating...we tried the pub/restaurant down the street and the food was AMAZING! We found the property to be quiet and serene. I am spoiled at home with a plushy pillow top king bed, so the bed was not very comfortable for me but may be perfect for other guests.
We were a party of 5 in area for a wedding. The unit was clean and had plenty of space -- two bedrooms that slept 2 each and a pullout couch. One decent-sized bathroom and a full kitchen. Very clean and tidy. A nice little lake behind the unit with a screened-in gazebo. A nice deck on the side of the house with a fire pit, which we used (wood was already in it). No complaints but a suggestion -- add a mirror/mirrors in the bedroom(s)... when more than one female visitor was doing makeup they suggested an additional mirror would be ideal.
We only stayed one night at Jeff’s but found everything just as described ! This duplex has been nicely renovated /updated throughout -bathroom, furnishings, kitchen and flooring .
Appreciated attention to cleanliness
Guest Netflix account was nice and the beds are very comfortable .
We never heard the guests in the other side of the duplex ; there is traffic /noise from 31 , but Jeff does make full disclosure of this . Certainly quieter by bedtime …
We did not have time to use the deck/grill/fire pit but looked nice. (You would need to provide your own wood )
We did message Jeff as there were only 2 washcloths in the unit ( but plenty of towels) and more were delivered within 10 minutes . Great service!

Our Review
The 15 or so acre pond made the property very enjoyable. There was a family or Trumpeter Swans - 2 adults and 5 young -- on it, we also saw four mallards, two wood ducks and four divers, probably ring neck ducks, possibly blue bills. A sandhill crane flew over and a raccoon ambled across the back yard. We also enjoyed a boat ride - the boats were clean and well kept and a good size for the pond. We did not go fishing, but I noticed one of the reels was inoperable. The biggest downside is that it is very close to US 31, so there was a lot of traffic noise. The house was barebones, but that was all right with us. Back by the pond, the yard was mushy and wet, probably from recent rains. Location was good for activities in the area and the area is very nice. Our dog loved it. We would stay there again. There was no need to communicate with the property manager, so that rating should be not applicable.
The property was nicely landscaped but unfortunately, a little too close to the main highway for us. At times with the traffic it was a bit noisy. The lake was beautiful. We did not get a chance to use the boat because we were not there that long. The view of the lake was beautiful. We saw swans with their little chicks and a cute little box turtle. There are plenty of things to do in the area and plenty of food options which is nice. The property is in need of some additional furniture. More specifically a coffee table or end table in order to set your drink down while you’re watching TV in the evenings. Even though the listing said that there were two beds, we did not realize that they were doubles instead of queens as in most places. Made sleeping together a little bit difficult for what we are used to so we ended up using both bedrooms. There were a couple of things that needed to be repaired, but they were very minor. There was a small hole in the wall caused by the door knob.
Nice place, very cozy. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We stayed 2 nights for a wedding and we're very pleased with stay. Clean, comfortable and a hot tub. Will definitely stay here again when visiting friends.
We enjoyed this property very much. The hot tub was a great bonus. Great location to visit the regional attractions. I would recommend this property to friends and family. We took the row boat out on the lake at the back of the property.
