We had a tremendous stay at Jo’s Lake Bowen Retreat. Jo was very responsive to all the questions we had during our visit.The house truly has everything required for an enjoyable and relaxing time. The view and outside areas, including the dock, were a wonderful bonus for us, especially for the fishing enjoyment of our three grandchildren.We used the house as a base for my granddaughter's state band competition—which they won! We will definitely be looking to rent again in the future.

Delightful Weekend Getaway

I thought this house was so perfect for a weekend stay at the lake. I especially enjoyed the kitchen which was well-equipped for cooking. The outdoor screened - in porch was another area that our family really loved. The upstairs children's bedroom with 4 twins and 4 trundle beds was also a nice spot to allow the children to play away from but within earshot of adult supervision! Our grandkids enjoyed swimming off the dock and along the bank of the lake. So thankful for a wonderful weekend!

Great Place On The Lake

Great, clean house with perfect amount of space! Stayed here for a long weekend softball tournament in Spartanburg. All Moms and daughters. House was very clean! Our socks were clean after walking around for an entire day. Loft room was great for the girls and all the bedrooms were great for the moms. Also, plenty of bathrooms! And the screened in porch was perfection! We did cook dinners every night. The electric stove was not my favorite, but that’s just a personal preference. Highly recommend a stay here. Especially if you are turning a trip to Tyler River Park into a mini vacation!

Lake Hideaway

Wonderful 5 days! Came into the area for a basketball tournament and it was the perfect retreat from gymnasiums!! The outdoor screened porch is fantastic for your morning coffee or evening cocktail! We rented a pontoon, it was delivered to our dock!! Awesome couple hours driving the lake.

Father’s Funeral Weekend

My husband and I arrived at the lake house around 3:00. We were allowed early access by the property manager. This was very helpful since over six hours to get there. Plus we had brought a good bit of food for the weekend and needed to put it in the refrigerator asap. Parking at the house was excellent and since we had family coming and going all weekend it was necessary. The house is older but it’s kept in impeccable condition. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen well stocked, but the best thing of all was the large screen porch. Everyone enjoyed sitting out there. After my dad’s funeral on Saturday, I invited family and a few friends back to the house for a catered meal. The porch and kitchen tables offered plenty of places for people to sit and eat. It was as a bittersweet weekend burying my father, but being together with my family made it more of a celebration of his life and not such a sad occasion.

Family Gathering

We were attending a neice’s wedding in Columbus NC. This lake home was a great place to relax. Before and after the festivities. The kids especially like the upstairs “dorm” life. The lake made for a great backdrop with beautiful misty sunrises and colorful sunsets!

Super relaxing time on Lake Bowen

All of the family loved the location on Lake Bowen. The house had plenty of room for all 11 of us. As one relaxed in the screen-in porch the rest of us floated in the lake. The little cove was perfect away from the main traffic on the lake. Everything was provided for our stay. We want to come back and are considering this location over the beaches of the gulf coast.

Family Gathering

JM We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the comfortable home on this cove of Lake Bowen. There is ample parking, a dock on a quiet cove . All linens are provided with many extras like sample soaps and shampoos, laundry and dish detergent and liquid hand soaps.in each bathroom. The children enjoyed having their separate space for play and sleeping. All beds were very comfortable. We sat on the dock or on the screen porch morning mid-day and evening, swam in the lake, and watched geese, ducks and squirrels. We would certainly consider staying here again because we have other family members a 15 minute drive away from this home. The property owner and manager were easily contacted and very responsive..

Just The Perfect Weekend

From the moment we walked in and could see the lake from the living room, we knew we'd made the right choice. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and clean, and the open space living room and kitchen perfect for prepping big family meals. We spent most of our time on the porch and the dock enjoying the sunshine and constant breeze. The upstairs loft trundle beds were perfect for the kids. We were all very comfortable and intend to highly recommend this retreat to family and friends coming to the area.
