Blue Moon, you knew just what I was there for...

Tucked away in a green vale sits Blue Moon Log Cabin. It looks like a scene out of a fairy tale; mature trees adorn the 110-year-old cabin's landscape, setting the mood for the getaway you imagined. As you step inside the log cabin, rich wood surrounds you. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee from the cabin's coffee bar or a glass of wine from a nearby winery while enjoying the porch swing, letting the day drift away. As the sun sets, we invite you to step onto your private deck, gaze at the stars, and hopefully catch a glimpse of that elusive Blue Moon.

Blue Moon Log Cabin is just five miles from downtown Nashville, right outside Helmsburg. In addition to the king bed, Blue Moon Log Cabin also features a sleeper sofa.

PET-FRIENDLY PROPERTY: There is a $75 fee per pet. Moondance Vacation Homes proudly donates a portion to the Brown County Humane Society when you bring your pet and pay your pet fee.

ALL EVENTS, DAY GUESTS, AND PARTIES ARE PROHIBITED WITHOUT PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL FROM PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. Effective July 1, 2025, the county has raised the innkeepers' tax from 5% to 8%.

Secluded Getaway

We absolutely loved this little cabin! It was super cozy, the hot tub was amazing, and the location was perfect. Only a 10 minute drive to downtown Nashville which was great. It rained while we were there but that didn't matter because of how comfortable we were chilling at the cabin! 10/10 stay and want to come back in the future!

Very cozy and good location

The property was very cozy. We could tell they put alot of thought into the property to make it convenient and comfortable for us. The cabin was well stocked with anything you could need. Would definitely stay again!

Cozy cottage

We had a really nice time and loved the antique furniture and fixtures. The only thing that could have been better was if the hot tub was actually hot. It was only about 93 degrees when we arrived and didn’t get to 103 until the wee hours. Also, the tvs didn’t seem to work. But we still enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come back.

Wonderful trip

We really enjoyed our time at this Beautiful Cabin in Brown county. I would recommend this Cabin for those who want a private, secluded location, close to town.

wonderful, rustic cabin with EVERYTHING

wonderful, rustic cabin with EVERYTHING included, wifi, TV,Roku, carbon monoxide detector, first aid kit, coffee, keurig pods, fresh coffee beans and grinder, DVDs, bathroom had all sorts of extra supplies, toothbrush, shaver, epsom salts, kitchen fully stocked, hot tub awesome, they even supplied charcoal for grill! Wonderful stay!!!

Great Stay

It is hard to find a great place when you travel with your pets. The property is several acres and the cabin was stocked with every conceivable supply item. So truly you just need to bring your pets and luggage. It is a 100 years old plus so of course it is not the Ritz but it was warm, comfortable and only 4.3 miles down the road to Nashville. We were able to get an early checkin. TY!! We will definitely be back this coming winter.

No Peace

We checked in to the lovely little cabin and really were looking for 2 things from our stay; 1) relaxing peace and quiet and 2) some relaxing time in a hot tub. Within moments of getting there a child on a 4 wheeler zipped by not 30 feet from the back patio on path/road behind the house. The neighbors are all close and trucks revved by honking their horns, neighbors screamed at each other, and with the house being in sort of a valley, every noise was amplified. The hot tub itself was broken down and missing half the jets. Considering that it was more relaxing at our 7 acre country farm, we chose to leave after 3 hours before spending the night. If this listing had been more realistic in how it was written, I doubt my anniversary with my husband would have been ruined. The owner did offer to move us to a different cabin that had no neighbors and a better hot tub, but my husband’s migraine disorder and photophobia made the other cabin (that was not under the trees in the shade) unsuitable for our needs.

Quiet Cabin in the woods

The cabin was comfortable with all the things required for a relaxing get away. Linens, kitchen items, a few dvds and a nice setting for reading and relaxing.

Great stay

The cabin was so cute and cozy. I’ve never stayed at a rental with so many small touches. Cozy robes, bath salts, hair towel and even a welcome gift. The hot tub was great, bed was comfy. 10/10 would recommend.

Very nice setting and cute clean cabin. Nice hot tub area. Only complaint are the doors are hard to open and shut. And the blow dryer wasn’t working. But overall nice cabin.

Amazing

We loved every moment of the stay. We were able to relax and enjoy each others company. We did get a bit uncomfortable in the bedroom as there is only a window AC unit in the living room and it was very warm in the bedroom. Also the tv in the living room had a blue color to it and we were not able to fix it. Other than that we LOVED everything about it.

Easter getaway

My husband and I enjoyed the cabin for a 3 night stay. It’s very cute and homey! Everything is very comfortable. Coffee and tea supplies are a great addition. We would be happy to come back again. About a 10 minute drive into Nashville. Only negatives are the spotty internet (not a surprise given the location) and the color going out on the tv in the living room. Overall great stay and great communication!

Weekend getaway

This cabin was the perfect mix of secluded but close to town. The neighbors in the back yard had two dogs that barked a lot, but that wasn’t the hosts fault. We loved the house and would definitely book again.

Didnt even stay a night.

We arrived march 11 at 9:30pm and left by 10:30 that same night. We just found the place to be pretty unsettling as there was a random light on within the place, there were several random locked doors, and a few mirrors in random locations. That all just seemed unnerving. It's dissapointing too due to the pictures making the place look far less creepy and we were so excited to spend our week there.

Cute cabin but a few flaws...

Went for long weekend (Thursday - Sunday) and found the cabin to be clean and everything you would need for a short stay. However, the tv did not work and, unfortunately, it rained all day Friday and the tv was not fixed until Saturday. When the individuals came to repair the Dish, the owner of property didn't introduce himself so we did not feel comfortable leaving property as we didn't want to provide the code to the Dish people. We only found out that the one individual was the owner and not with Dish was to ask. Also, the owners book indicated that the hot tub was to be maintained at 100 degrees so expecting that to be the case when went to use on Saturday night and found it to be at a cool 80. So unable to use set it for 100 so that it would be able to be used by the next guests as it was too late for us to use.
