Overall, a mixed experience. Starting with the positives, the room was nice and cool, which made for a comfortable stay. The hotel also includes access to the facilities of the neighboring hotel, which was a pleasant addition. Additionally, the convenience of having a bus stop right outside the hotel was a plus for getting around the area. However, there were several aspects that need improvement. The furnishings in the room were quite outdated. Service was below par; it took a long time for staff to answer the phone, and when I ordered room service, the wrong food was brought to our room. I was told during check-in that I would receive a complimentary bottle of wine as part of Expedia Gold. Although the receptionist apologised for it not being in the room upon arrival and assured me someone would bring it, it never arrived. Moreover, I expected late checkout as a perk of Expedia Gold, but I was called at the standard checkout time, asking me to leave. Despite asking them for 15 minutes to pack my luggage, they repeatedly called and even sent someone to the room to ask if I was leaving. This constant pestering was quite frustrating. In summary, while there were some good aspects to the stay, the service could be improved. I hope the hotel can address these concerns and enhance their service for future guests based on my comments.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Palazzo Violetta at the end of April 2024. The hotel is spotless, the staff were friendly and helpful and we will stay here again, it is a very good location for buses/ferries but we will request a different room. We were located at the front of the hotel and it was quite noisy, we could have asked to move rooms but did not want to re-pack so we just endured the noise. The walk back to the hotel is all uphill which is fine if you are mobile. There are not many restaurants within immediate walking distance however there were more along the seafront facing Valletta. There are a few coffee shops within walking distance, but prices seemed to vary, we were able to request coffee from the bar in the hotel which was helpful. Our room had a mini-kitchen but only with instant coffee which we do not drink and there is a small supermarket within walking distance. I would recommend Hotel Palazzo Violetta as a place to stay when in Malta.

Malta was unlike anything I have seen. This hotel provides everything you could want on a vacation. I give it a 10

Brilliant bay and hotel

The hotel was lovely and gave us everything we needed. The bed was very comfy (though the sheet too small), the kitchenette was perfectly adequate, the bathroom spacious and the room was large. All the staff were very helpful. The only downside was that at the last point of our stay there was some very noisy residents who insisted on slamming their doors (soft closer would help), shouting in the corridors and playing really loud music even though the management had asked them to be respectful to others. Also a few people thought it was acceptable to walk around the hotel in their swim wear bearing in mind that the pool was on the top and underground floors which is disrespectful to some religions.
