  • Take some time to relax and reconnect with nature at this splendid, true log cabin in Idyllwild-Pine Cove, CA! This two-story rustic charmer is nestled on a forested ridge at the end of a tranquil cul-de-sac, offering the perfect home base to enjoy a truly relaxing and secluded escapade with your loved ones. This cabin is truly a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts - discover amazing, must-visit attractions within a short drive, including Mount San Jacinto State Park, scenic hiking trails, Indian Vista Scenic Overlook, Hurkey Creek Park, and Lake Hemet (great for fishing). Other great attractions include Soboba Springs Golf Course, Ramona Bowl Amphitheatre, Ruth Hardy Park, Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs, Palm Springs Art Museum, The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, and Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.

    Upon entering this true log cabin, you are greeted by a rustic, wooded interior showcasing exposed wood beams, new laminated wood flooring throughout, and a gorgeous rock wood-burning stove that is in charge of keeping you nice and toasty during the winter months. Spread out comfortably in the welcoming living room and pull out any of the provided board games for a fun evening, or watch an entertaining movie on the TV with a DVD player. A chessboard and a plethora of books are available as well for additional entertainment. The spacious kitchen adds a contemporary touch with modern, all stainless steel appliances and all the essentials needed to prepare exquisite homemade meals for the crew. The extensive, wrap-around deck offers an unbeatable spot to unwind and take in impressive views of mountain blue skies and forest tree tops. Relax in the hammock, host summertime barbecues with the gas grill, dine alfresco, and treat yourself to soothing baths in the private hot tub. All three bedrooms can be found on the upper level. The biggest suite features a reading nook with a small bookshelf and a desk with a monitor and shares a full bathroom with the other two bedrooms.

Awesome cabin

Family really enjoyed our stay. Kids had a blast in the hot tub and thr swing on the tree. Anyone with a family will love this cabin it got my kids off their phones and tv to go outside. Would recommend anyone to this cabin

Great getaway!

We come to Idyllwild to get away from noisy fireworks (our pups hate those) over the 4th of July. All the cabins have been lovely but this way our favorite so far. We loved the log cabin's homey feel and that it's on a quiet cul de sac. We hope we get to stay here again!

My friends and I had a wonderful time at this quaint log cabin. The pictures were true to our experience. The beds were extremely comfortable . Even in the warm weather (91 degrees ) the cabin remained cool even without a/c! The fans that were provided did wonders . What a beautiful place to stay - it feels like you’re in a treehouse. Beautiful Rustic Cabin

The pictures in the listing don't do the cabin justice. It's more beautiful in real life and has tons of character. There are many thoughtful touches, like dozens of books and a large supply of games. We were looking for a quiet and private place for a few days and this was perfect. The cabin is near the end of a dead-end road so traffic is minimal and there is lots of privacy on the deck. The main village of Idyllwild is about 5 minutes away by car so the location was very convenient. I would absolutely plan another visit here.

Christmas stay in Idylwild

The stay was ok; however, the maintenance of the property needs improvement. On the surface, the property appeared clean. Once we started "living" there, we found numerous dirty dishes, pots, and pans. There was also a leaking kitchen faucet that, by the amount of water in a conveniently placed container, indicated that the faucet had been leaking for some time. They got a plumber to fix it the next day. I had to put the BBQ back together before I cooked my chicken. Fortunately, I found it early enough that it didn't impact dinner. The beds weren't very comfortable, and one of the beds had rollers so that it moved during the night.The upstairs shower had the hot-cold water reversed, which meant that turning on the shower caused hot water to initially come out (this could be hazardous for some people). In the case of my son, he turned the handle all the way to get hot water in the morning. After 5 minutes, we took a cold shower because he didn't know about the water reversal. The shower curtains are too long, causing that orangey color to accumulate at the bottom.Regarding the Wifi, the 2.5 GHz signal didn't work throughout the house. Fortunately, there is a 5 GHZ channel that did. It took me a day to figure that out.I looked for information at the rental to give you the lay of the land. Unfortunately, the only information was the texts and emails which don't give a complete picture.The location is very nice. The fireplace was great.
