Kamiiso no Torii gate at Ōarai Isosaki Jinja shrine
Ayame Garden in Itako holds an Ayame (Japanese Iris) Flower Festival every year from late May to June. The iris come in various shades of white, purple, and yellow. The garden covers approx. 1.3 hectares (3.2 acres) next to the Maekawa River and the iris can be viewed from both the garden path and bridges above it. Closest Station: Itako Station on the JR Kashima Line.
Was over in Japan for a week last week. 6th visit this year. This is what I saw and visited on the first day after arrival. Pretty eh?! #bestof5
