This was a tranquil space to retreat to at the end of each active day. To have the garden space in front of the living space made it feel like home. It is beautifully designed and highly functional. Loved this property.

Charming boutique hotel, delightful, caring staff and cozy atmosphere. Nice breakfast, good location. A bit expensive but worth it for this lovely place full of history.

This historical boutique 8 room property is a treasure very well located in central Hydra just above the port. Our room was located above the outdoor patio area that also serves as the sitting area for the delightful breakfast buffet which is included with room. Room was well appointed with beautiful renovated bath. The breakfast buffet has a large selection of food to suit any taste. The chef/attendant was wonderful and caring. Additionally, the entire staff including Vicky made every effort to assist us with logistics, recommendations, and pertinent information requested. Highly recommend this classy property and staff. Wonderful experience. Hydra is special among the many beautiful Greek Isles.

Absolutely beautiful property. The rooms are very well appointed and the beds comfortable. We loved the outside patio area and the accessibility for walking to shops and the beach. One of our favourite stays on our trip. The staff are wonderful too. Very relaxed and extremely kind!

The room was immaculate, considering how historic the building is. The attention to detail is top notch. If there is ANY dust, high or low, my wife will find it, and there was none. The bathroom spotless. Staff was helpful with recommendations, and attentive to our needs. Perfect location right in the middle of Ύδρα. While there isn’t a pool, no problem. Just a 5-10 minute walk to the natural pool behind Spilia Beach Bar in the sea. Get there before 9am for the most refreshing swim and back for breakfast service. Thank you Orloff for the experience.

Easy and stylish choice for Hydra

This hotel is a very easy walk up from the harbor compared to almost any other accommodation at Hydra. The staff is super friendly and make guests feel special. The garden for breakfast is lovely and the rooms are antique/rustic and stylish. Great hotel for enjoying the quiet life of Hydra.

Perfect accommodations, wonderful staff

I am so thankful to have selected the Orloff as our place to stay in Hydra. First, there’s the beautifully appointed rooms with excellent beds (as Americans who like a King-size, plush mattress) and soft linens. The room had a Nespresso machine, water kettle and refrigerator. We always had hot water and great water pressure in the shower and our bathroom. We had beautiful weather, but did turn on the air conditioning at night and it worked well. There’s a smart TV and great WiFi. The hotel’s location was perfect for us - just up the hill so it was away from the harbor noise, but still in the main area for an easy walk to restaurants. Most of all, we think the staff are the stars of this boutique hotel. They were all so friendly and helpful. Matina greeted us with lemonade made from the garden’s lemons and oriented us to the hotel. Michalis, the Operations Manager, greeted us at breakfast and helped us plan a hike for the day. Manola, the breakfast staff was delightful, attentive and accommodating to my gluten and dairy intolerances. Finally, we met owner Maria and she gave us an orientation to the beautiful artwork around the hotel. Our visit to Hydra was absolutely lovely and memorable largely because the Orloff was home for a few days. Thank you to all of the staff who go out of their way to make it special.

People are the Orloff were very accomodating, we loved the island and the place, easy access to the port, 5 mins. the room was small but very cute.

I loved staying at this hotel. It is so pretty and the people are so nice and attentive. Due to Covid, breakfast was served to our table in the garden( between lemon-, orange- and pomegranate trees etc) instead of going to a buffet ourselves. In the background fine, classical music, played softly through the speakers that were hidden between the plants. While enjoying this breakfast, so first thing in the morning, housekeeping cleaned our room. It was like having fairy’s. I’d really like returning to this place.

Greek Island Sanctuary

Perfect location, the very best fresh local produce homebaked breakfast served with Warm and friendly smile. Our room attendant was very very helpful and always friendly and happy. Truly a Great relaxing Greek island experience.

The hotel uses a historic residence to house the rooms. The hotel is more like a bed and breakfast rather than a 4 star hotel. If you have a room on the first floor (ground floor) be prepared to hear the foot steps of the residents on the upper floor room, which can be rather unpleasant if it happens early in the morning or late at night. The queen size bed was particularly hard to sleep on - at least for my taste. The breakfast was simple with the items that would most likely satisfy most tastes. The rooms were air conditioned and quite roomy, however the bathroom space was rather limited. The hotel does not have elevator(s) so carrying your luggages on one or more flight of stairs is the norm. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. The hotel is in a good location and close to the port, which is a big plus. Overall, I felt that the rooms were overpriced for the amenities the hotel offered.

Turn back the clock when you arrive.

Position is reasonable, building is dated and quant but is not well sound insulated. Hydra is well worth visiting but we found that restaurants and accommodation we're not quite the same standard as other islands. However, the views are sensational and the tranquility etc make it a different location.

Kleines Hotel in guter Lage. Zimmer und Bad schön, aber ganz unangenehmer Geruch. Freundliches Personal, Frühstück nichts besonderes. Leider keine Dachterrasse o.ä. Um sich draußen zu entspannen.

Orloff è un piacevole Hotel, potrebbe essere migliorato sia la prima colazione, che la zona prima colazione. Il giardino è piacevole, comunque con qualche fiore o piantina sui tavoli sarebbe stato più accogliente, idem la colazione, c’era tutto d’accordo, ma i vassoi e la macchina caffè rendeva tutto poco personale o curato, come invece era il resto della struttura! Per resto davvero piacevole !

Orloff is a very nice place to stay in Idra!

Hotel staff were very helpful; they made some phone calls and helped arrange for an earlier ferry to Piraeus. We were very comfortable with our room; there were 3 of us. The big bed was comfortable, but the single bed I had was a bit firm. The staff was very friendly; we felt very comfortable there.
