"The Strata" features modern living & simplistic comfort right here in Rocket City! This newly renovated 4000 sq foot home boasts 6 spacious bedrooms and 3 "floating" bathrooms. Recreation room offers entertainment for guests, families, and friends alike. Outfitted with a 8' pool table, large 75" smart TV for streaming, a Bluetooth audio system for music, and board games for adults and kids, "The Strata" offers so much for travelers looking for their next adventure.

"The Strata" offers everything you will need for a perfect stay. Cookware, silverware, all provided for you to make a delicious home cooked meal. Coffee grounds provided to wake up to sit outside in the shaded porch to watch nature come and go. We have adopted enhanced cleaning procedures in our fight against COVID-19 and thoroughly disinfect the home. Sheets are washed and replaced after each guest so you can stay with peace of mind.

Please note WE DO NOT ALLOW PARTIES/EVENTS/PETS out of respect for our neighbors.

Guests will have access to the entire home

We are not available in person, but are just a call/text away if you need assistance. This will offer a more private stay and limit face-to-face interaction in our fight against COVID-19.

Situated in a quiet neighborhood in south Huntsville, this home sits in an area called "Jones Valley" defined by trees, nature, and crisp, clean air. Restaurants, shops, and grocery stores are just a few minutes away.
Zero Tolerance policy for parties & events.
Smoking is only permitted outside of the home.
Quiet hours run from 9pm-9am out of respect for our neighbors.
The number of guests on the reservation accurately reflects the number of guest staying at the home.
RV or electric vehicle charging is not allowed.
If any rule is to be found broken (SPECIALLY FOR PARTIES/EVENTS), a $500 fine will be imposed and your reservation is subject to cancellation without refund.

Dirty and falling apart

Property was in very poor repair, missing wall fixtures, dirty and scuffed walls, and actual hole in the floor in front of one shower, a non-functioning toilet on the back patio. Dishwasher was smelly, microwave had no round glass inset, and oven didn't function. Host was responsive when door code was not sent, but overall the property has some great pictures that are not at all Representative of the state of the house.

Great house for large family stay

We used 5/6 bedrooms for this spacious location. When issues arose, John was responsive and helpful. We needed something repaired and he sent someone promptly and they fixed the issue. It is so important to have communication and John even called us when needed. We used all the living areas and the kitchen had what was needed to prep meals. He had lots of condiments and coffee items available too. The house stayed cool and would recommend slippers especially downstairs. The family enjoyed the pool table and games he had there to use as well.

Family Wedding stay

Our adult family group enjoyed this spacious house in a beautiful neighborhood. The seating in the common areas is a bit sparse, but otherwise, the house is nicely appointed. We especially enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and the extremely comfortable beds!

Nice but could have been better

Overall the house was nice and description was accurate. Cleanliness could use some improvements. The carpet on the stairs was filthy. Lots of bugs in the basement, had to go to the store to buy home defense to help keep them out. There was a back patio and it appears that’s where they were coming in. Walls could use cleaning in some spots. Upstairs patio could have been cleared of leaves and debris to help the home look better. We had to clean out the garage and place objects to cover a while to prevent animals from coming in. Bedrooms could use TVs. Maybe not all the the rooms but a couple. Overall the house was fine. I would stay there again but I wouldn’t want anyone to sleep in the basement (which is where three rooms are) without knowing pest control had been there.

Beautiful neighborhood and great space!

We enjoyed staying here! It’s cozied in the woods and a beautiful neighborhood. The home is showing signs of its age. Some shelving in kitchen and basement were in decline and didn’t close or fully function. The kitchen had very few serving plates/bowls. We were out an busy, but the one night we had a family dinner, there were only two mixing bowls for serving. It was a great stay and we were able to adjust!

Nice beds!

We rented primarily due to the number of bedrooms. Beds were nice which is critical to me. Difficulty with access but property manager was very responsive. Once we had access, all smoke detectors weee chirping. Again, property manager was quick to respond but it was obvious they had been chirping previously as two had been taken down. Floors were very dirty!!! Bedroom downstairs has one closet door off the hook. Driveway is very very steep. Not suitable for those with mobility issues

Great home for week long stay in a convenient, nice neighborhood

Our group of three different families were in town for a swim meet for a week -- total of 8 people. This home was convenient to the pool, grocery stores and restaurants. The home is large enough for everyone to have space. The neighborhood is extremely hilly -- we never parked in the driveway because it is basically straight down! Street parking was the norm, and we just walked down and back up when entering/leaving the home. People with older family would have a very difficult time going up and down those stairs. Three bedrooms upstairs and three downstairs. I would suggest to the owners that they add a dresser and/or chair in some of the bedrooms, because they did not have a closet or anywhere to place your bag/clothes. A good solid cleaning is needed for the entire house -- bottle left under a bed, washcloth found in my bedroom, the cool ice maker was moldy and the coffee maker contained moldy coffee grounds that first day! It really was a great place all in all -- really appreciated all the items provided: laundry detergent, garbage bags, dishwashing detergent, ample paper towels and toilet paper! We would stay here again.

Golf get away

Newly remolded interior as mention, was able to sleep 12 comfortably. Was lacking table space for 12 people. This house was still under being remolded on the outside and the garage was useable but the garage doors did not work properly.
