"This hotel was clean and well maintained. It’s huge and the grounds were pretty. Staff was great and even carried some of our luggage upstairs. Which is the only thing wrong there is no elevator. Everything else was great"

"Ideal location if one is looking to stay in Stockbridge. The guest house we stayed in was quiet and comfortable. But our room was looking a little worn and in need of some updates, such as the carpet. The property has an excellent restaurant. The property was undergoing a renovation during our stay, so the parking situation was at first confusing, but we got the hang of it quickly,"

"It is set off the road in the woods. Beautiful grounds with places to sit outside and relax. The rooms are big , clean, have full kitchens, and comfy beds. The magic coffee machine in the lobby makes great coffee for free and is always open to use. The pool is large and great and the outdoor hot tub was great too. The folks at the desk are fantastic! Not one thing to not like!"

"I stayed here for 13 days on business. (1) The signs say they will clean the rooms every three nights. I checked in on a Sunday, and after days of waiting to see if they would actually follow through, I finally had to ask Friday morning that they clean my room. After that, they cleaned it in the three day schedule as promised. (2) After I checked out in the last day, I asked if there was a place I could put my luggage (carry on suitcase and backpack) for no more than 15 min so I could quickly buy a burger before my transport arrived. Their response: “ You can leave it in the lobby but if anything happens it is not our responsibility.” I found that to be ridiculous. (3) My traveling partners stayed at a hotel just down the road next to the grocery store. Much better amenities, especially the workout room. If you care about that, I suggest another hotel. The one here is small and if you jog on the treadmill the AC is poorly place where it blows strongly on your head. In conclusion, if I have to return to Hadley, I’ll be staying elsewhere. It’s fine probably for most if you stay a night or two, but I had one too many issues with them."

"Here’s what we liked: If we were just reviewing BERKSHIRES UNTOLD based on the staff, we’d be giving it a 5. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and gracious. When we asked for extra towels and requested a room change, they accommodated those requests immediately. After we switched rooms they checked to see if we were happier. This is exactly the kind of service you want in a hotel or inn. Other good things - The bed was comfortable and there was enough counter space in the bathroom and at the desk area. We also liked that there was a breakfast seating area, bar and small indoor seating area plus outdoor seating with gas fire pits. So, why are we giving the place a 3 overall? It really needed more attention to detail. The carpet in our original room was not in good shape and the fitted bed sheet had a small rip on my side. Some of the room furniture was dinged up and a sofa in the common seating area had some shredded fabric. One thing we didn’t like (that they couldn’t exactly help) was that we were there on a late spring wedding weekend, so there were buses idling in front of our room with loud talkers and smokers nearby. It felt like they were in our room along with the smoke and fumes. The trend of turning motels into better motels is interesting. They’re less expensive and are sometimes more original. But you’re still in a motel. If you value soundproofing and consistently better quality, a mid range chain may be a better choice."
