Our stay at Azerai in Huế was exceptional. The building is absolutely stunning – elegant, full of character, and beautifully preserved. The staff were warm and professional, and the facilities were excellent throughout. A special mention goes to Oanh, the barman, who was not only skilled but also incredibly entertaining – he added a lot of fun to our evenings. Every part of the hotel felt thoughtfully designed to offer a relaxing and memorable experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy Huế in comfort and style.

There are many many small details they cover that others do not and this sets them apart. Its not just good coffee its excellent coffee, not just comfortable beds its really comfortable beds, and the people are just the best.

The purpose of our trip to Vietnam this time was to stay at this hotel, which we had long wanted to experience. It took us about three hours from Hoi An, but it was truly worth it. The hotel is magnificent, beautifully renovated from an old building, and its solid, luxurious presence is something that could hardly be built today. The room we stayed in was spacious and located at the center of the property, offering stunning views that allowed us to overlook the entire building. The scenery from our room was simply breathtaking. As a special highlight of our stay, we reserved the Royal Court Cuisine dinner at the hotel restaurant. We dressed in royal costumes and enjoyed a unique dining experience at a beautifully prepared setting. Each dish was crafted with great care, and not only the flavors but also the presentation and atmosphere allowed us to fully enjoy the meal with all five senses. It was one of the most fascinating and memorable experiences we have ever had. The staff member who served us during dinner was exceptionally kind. They eased our nervousness, encouraging us to fully embrace the roles of “king and princess,” which made the evening even more enjoyable. They also explained the dishes in detail and kindly shared recommendations of places to visit in Hue, which we truly appreciated. This property oversells itself as 5 star. It is more like 4 star. Rooms are small. We also booked two rooms with 2 queens for family. These rooms had two single beds not two queens. False advertising. Spa massage is excellent and food is good although can get boring if you stay many days. The view of the river is good but view is hindered by trees. An Unforgettable Stay at Azerai La Residence Hue

Azerai La Residence Hue is truly one of the most elegant and charming hotels I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment I arrived, everything exuded class, tranquility, and thoughtful attention to detail. The colonial-era architecture, lush gardens, and riverside setting created an atmosphere that was both refined and deeply relaxing. The staff were absolutely exceptional—warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. They even went above and beyond to air ship a piece of clothing I had forgotten after check-out, which speaks volumes about their commitment to guest care. The pool and facilities were flawless, and the location is perfect—peaceful yet just minutes from Hue’s top attractions. Every corner of the property feels beautifully curated and meticulously maintained. If you're looking for a place that combines historic charm, modern luxury, and five-star service, this is it. I have stayed in many international hotels over several decades. The staff here were outstanding and completely focussed on their residents. Nothing was too much trouble. Guest Relations was incredible. E mails from UK instantly responded to and travel arrangements made with accurate professionalism when we arrived. The food provided is also worth a mention. It was excellent and beautifully presented.

Hotel is superb with dedicated staff. No recognition of VIP status at check-in or that I had been before. No upgrade from Superior, advised no availability despite Deluxe rooms being on sale throughout our 4 night stay.
