"This house is fantastic, with a beautiful overview of the lake and plenty of room for guests! The kitchen is HUGE and is great for a large crowd, they have everything you need for cooking and preparing meals, and the kitchen table and island are great for seating guests, as well as two different large relaxing areas. The hosts were very nice, very quick to respond, reasonable, and accommodating. The only inaccuracy with the listing is the “game/arcade room” - it is actually a room with STUFFED game (21 deer heads, a coyote and a mountain lion) with two big screens to WATCH some games if desired. Otherwise, the house was fantastic and we will be return customers for sure! :)"

"The owner is a very nice man. My dad broke his foot the day before he and my mom were scheduled to leave to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The owner was very accommodating and did not mind that a third person (me) had to join them so they had a driver. He even brought over a more rugged walker for my dad to use while we were there. The walker my dad had was very basic and the one we were allowed to borrow was so much easier for him to use. We all loved feeding the fish and learning about raising trout. We would definitely go back "

"The cottage was spacious and had a gorgeous view. It could have been a bit cleaner, but overall it was a beautiful space. One concern was the steps leading to the boathouse deck. They felt unsteady and were difficult to navigate, especially for older guests."

"I wish I could give a better overall review of the property, for it has great potential! If it weren't for the inability to check in, I'd rate it even higher. Though I believe in giving fair and honest reviews, without just complaining.The Good: The property outside is lovely and is right on the lake! Couldn't ask for a better location. They allow pets which is also great!I had been in communication on VRBO several times leading up to the stay with general questions. I'd talked to them 2 days before arrival. Then I'd even let them know that I was 20min out before arriving, just so we could avoid any issues and infer about the check in process. Received no reply.The Bad: Got to the property at 6:15pm (over 2hrs past check-in) and there was no one there to check me in. I called the contact that was given on VRBO and it was not the host, but a neighbor who helps with the property. She walked over and showed me to my room which had not yet been cleaned from the last person who had stayed. She then went and found the host by the water for me. I was offered another option, but when he opened that room, it was already (unknowingly) occupied . He asked if I could come back in less than an hour and he'd clean it. At first, standing in the dirty room with the smell of mildew, I was apprehensive, though said yes.Having already traveled 4 hours with my wife, young daughter, and old dog...we came back an hour later to check in at 7:15pm. We stayed our 4 nights and I give 4 stars."
