Lovely warm welcome. Room warm and cosy (211) with a slightly challenging lock. Very tasty roast dinner and breakfast the next morning. The little town was quiet but lots of pubs and little shops, plus riverside walks too. Would recommend.

Room was very clean and pleasant. Food was good but service very very slow (it was Valentines Day so to an extent we understood but 30 mins to get a glass of water was maybe a little extreme) Bed a little uncomfortable and the floors (both ours and above) were extremely creaky so we could hear everyone moving around which made for a difficult sleep. Staff extremely pleasant and location is great.

The room had black mould on window and on frame. Was shocked to see it. Staff all pleasant. Couldn’t cancel next booking because of the state of my room made me not wish to stay at Admiral Rodney again. In the Past always been happy there. Asked for another room but reception said couldn’t change last night or next time (on 26 and 27th March). Please can you refund me as it is circumstances from your booking system that the receptionist says cannot be done. This is not fair you will agree. The room was noisy too which stopped me from sleeping when i desperately needed a good nights rest as driving at nearby Cadwell Park today 15th Feb. Was woken at around 5am by creaking floorboards and voices. My next booking was for Cadwell too. Please can you make a refund in view of the circumstances for my next two dates. Was told by the hotel they couldn’t help me. Can you please? I’m desperate that I’ve made a booking with so many faults - even returned in person to talk to Admiral Rodney without success. Please help. Thank you. I don’t think my complaint should be made public for your sake but if you wish to do so please seek a solution. Thank you.

Nice room, clean and comfortable, very creaky floors but you expect that in an old building. Staff were friendly and helpful. We only stayed 3 nights and opted for the non cleaning option and didn't eat in as my mother lives locally so can't comment on anything else but will definately be back.

My third stay at The Admiral Rodney and it never disappoints. The staff are always friendly and cheerful, the rooms are spotless and the breakfasts are excellent. I'll definitely be back .

Upon arrival we found the receptionist, Jenny very welcoming and helpful. Dining room staff were also friendly and provided an excellent service. Dinner was well presented and very tasty. Our room was delightful, clean, warm and comfortable, providing a restful and convenient environment needed for our three night stay. We shall certainly return and recommend to others. Thank you !

We received a warm welcome on arrival and the room was cosy and warm. The bathroom wasn't spotlessly clean (hence the 4/5) but the room was. The only issue was the lack of soundproofing - we could hear the child next door talking, and the creaky floorboards meant we had no choice but to wake up when the people in the room above chose to get up (they must have walked around the room about 100 times between 8am and 9am!). However, I suppose that's an inevitable issue with an old building. If I stayed again, I would ask for a room upstairs.

For the price we were very happy with our stay! Of course, some areas of the room were a little tired, but everything was clean and organised. The parking (round the back of the hotel) was free with plenty of spaces. Our room had a tv and a radio which was a nice touch, and the bed was comfortable enough for a short stay. We’ll be sure to use this hotel again on future family visits!

Decent sized room, had the same one pre-Christmas & they put me back in the same room as requested on my pre-booking. Good hotel, breakfast not included which was a shame as was not cheap to buy on site.

The internet was really poor and kept dropping out. The first room we were in, 210, the windows didn't close properly because it was warped letting in the cold. We didn't report it until the next day and were moved. The carpet had been joined but was coming apart and fraying. The mattresses were so lumpy and need to be replaced. I asked for a ground floor room when i booked online and was put on the 1st floor so waste of time requesting it. To be honest we felt like coming home after the first day. When i told them about the window the Manager said no one had reported it before? The standard of the Hotel needed to be updated in many areas. We have stayed there before a few years ago and found it to be ok. The staff were lovely. Can't fault them. Thank you.
