Lovingly restored by the great-granddaughter of the original owner, Pa Willie’s is a traditional 150 year-old Bahamian/Hope Town Settlement cottage is located “Upalong,” just 200 feet from the harbour and ocean in the peaceful and picturesque heart of Hope Town. This New England style home is within walking distance to beaches, restaurants, The Wyannie Malone Museum, Saint James Methodist Church, ferry docks, grocery stores and gift shopping. The Elbow Reef Lighthouse is a short boat ride away just across the harbour. Bars and restaurants are within walking distance, but far enough away to not be noisy or disturb the peacefulness of the cottage. Relax in the front porch swing. Stroll through the historic settlement of Hope Town. Rent a golf cart, bike or boat. Private dock slip (up to 35’ with 4’ draft at low tide). Propane grill provided. The downstairs master has a queen-size bed with ensuite. There is a cozy front parlor, fully equipped kitchen with an adjacent sitting room that’s perfect for board games or puzzles, and a spacious front porch with a porch swing. Upstairs is an additional bedroom with twins that can be converted to a king, a full bath, and a cozy dormer-ed bedroom (low head room, best for a child) with one twin.
