"I always book the Barrington when I visit Halifax. It provides the best value from my experience, proximity to the Harbourfront, and Pedway to the Casino/waterfront (especially during the winter) and the Tempo restaurant on the premises has a fantastic staff and the food has always been excellent. The only negatives I have found was no air conditioning in the room and the parking off site. On site with no fee would be a great perk but understand that is impossible. However , the AC issue is fixable. The windows do not open so the room did get stuffy and we woke several times during the night. I don’t recall this always being an issue so there may be AC in some rooms. Also, this would not have been noticed on winter trips. It was definitely a problem this time."
"We had a great stay at the Cambridge suites. The hotel was very conveniently located and we loved being able to walk around Halifax and not have to take our vehicle with us. The only downside we found was the hotel not having a pool. For our family with young kids, it adds something extra to our stay when they can swim after a day of wandering the town. However, we knew this upon booking. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We even checked in early to leave our vehicle on site while we wandered around and the staff was great with allowing us to do this. Charva and Alisha were wonderful at check out, very kind and helpful as we checkout out. We would stay here again if we visit Halifax again soon."

We absolutely loved our stay at Moxy Downtown Halifax! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was unlike any hotel we’ve stayed at. It’s modern, fun, and has so much personality.
The lobby is such a great space to hang out, with Jenga, Pac-Man, and other games that make it feel more like a social lounge than just a hotel. You even get a complimentary welcome drink when you check in, which is such a nice touch. We also took advantage of happy hour at the bar, where cocktails were half price, and the food was perfect for an afternoon snack or a late-night bite.
The rooms were spotless, modern, spacious enough for four people, and had everything we needed. One of our favourite features was the self-serve communal closet stocked with extra towels, pillows, toiletries, steamers, and other essentials. If you need anything else, the staff are more than happy to help.
The complimentary extras throughout the day really made our stay stand out. There was fresh trail mix available in the afternoon, lemonade and fruit punch to help yourself to, and complimentary tea and coffee every morning.
The location is also fantastic—just a short, enjoyable walk to the waterfront, with plenty to see along the way.
Every little detail has been thoughtfully designed, from the stylish décor to the fun elevator experience. Everything feels intentional, modern, and incredibly well put together.

"I booked this last minute because of a flight delay and it was such an incredible win. I wish I had booked my entire stay here. The property is beautiful. The sign in directions were easy. The fridge was stocked with everything you could possibly want. There wasn’t any staff there when I was there, but everything was so well laid out that you didn’t need any help with anything. The bed was comfortable. This was an excellent experience."
