"It was the perfect place for our family of five to explore the Groningen area and our family's ancestry. The house was spacious, clean, quiet, and located right on a canal. We rented the boat and took it out on the lake one day. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed grilling and eating outside on one of the many decks surrounded by flowering bushes and plants. We wish we had more time to spend at the house and in the Kropswolde/Groningen area but hope to come back someday!"

In der Unterkunft befanden sich zahlreiche Spinnen – was durch den fehlenden Insektenschutz an Fenstern und Türen begünstigt wurde. "Fijn huiselijk huis, ruim en leuk ingericht. Inchecken in principe eenvoudig: sleutel steekt in het slot. Maar de deur valt vanzelf dicht, daar kwamen we te laat achter (terwijl de sleutel al binnen lag). Daardoor stonden we bij aankomst langere tijd voor een dichte deur, voordat de eigenaar ons de plek van de reservesleutel kon uitleggen. Het dorpje Rysum is erg mooi, in de omgeving is veel grootschalige landbouw, daarmee nogal saai. Waddenkust wel mooi, een goede fietsmogelijkheden. "
