Great location

Papakea is our favorite place to stay. The resort is gorgeous and the location is close to restaurants, food trucks and the ABC store. This unit was different than others we have stayed in in the past. There were no amenities such as chairs or snorkels. Also no spices or measuring cups.It was advertised as a full & twin in the second bedroom, but t two twins.

While the property has fantastic location (nothing beats the ocean views) it failed to communicate the steep & additional cleaning fees associated with staying at this property. Other than that, our visit was memorable because of the beauty of this side of the island.

Hi. Well the resort itself was great. But the condo unit is very old and needs updating. Here are my thoughts. (I do realize that some of the units are being updated but this one needs it terribly)Only one dish towel and cloth (2 of each should be provided)Carpets filthy, desperately need cleaning. Very very old. Cabinets dirty and deteriorating. 60 years oldSomeone came into our condo to drop off glow stix without being notified That is not acceptable. Spraying for bugs in units while occupied?? We were told to leave for 2 hours. Beds incredibly uncomfortable. To the point our backs necks and shoulders are in constant pain. I challenge you to sleep in second bedroom single beds for one night. One of the dining chairs disintegrated. We picked it up and moved it and the bottom fell out. See picture. Coffee table bamboo broken. Sliced my wife’s leg. The hair dryer in master bedroom does not workShower drain is slow/ clogged in master bath. Drawers in kitchen are dirty and awful. Sticky. Needed wiping but finish is gone. Drawer bank on left side has no drawer glides so drawers collapse when you open and almost fall out. I’m trying to give an objective view for you and hopefully helps. The cost is pretty high and I feel like the condo should be a bit better maintained. It was like this was bare minimum.
