Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa

8/10 Good

"Staff were very helpful . The public bath on the top floor with views across the city was amazing"

Kanazawa Chaya

10/10 Excellent

"Excellent stay at this traditional Ryokan! The staff, accommodations and food were fabulous. It is very clean and the staff are highly accommodating to guests. The location is a short walk from the Kanazawa station which was very nice. We stayed in a traditional room with breakfast and dinner included. If you want the full experience, I highly recommend you purchase the meals. The meals are traditional so raw seafood is always on the menu - I enjoy cooked seafood but not the raw so requested “western style” meals with no seafood - they were extremely accommodating and we enjoyed two wonderful western meals. A dinner that included steak, vegetables, fruit and, of course, miso soup and white rice. It was delicious. Breakfast was an omelette, ham, bacon, miso soup, rice and fruit - again, a wonderful meal. There are traditional robes in your room with socks and sandals - we enjoyed wearing the outfit to our meals. The onsen was very good. I went both days (separated by gender) and was the only one there. It was very enjoyable to relax. The dressing room has lockers with lock for your things and all the toiletries needed to get ready for the day or evening (shampoo, conditioner, lotions, hairbrush, blow dryer’s, Q-tips etc). All-in-all we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Kanazawa Chaya!"

Smile Hotel Kanazawa Nishiguchi Ekimae

10/10 Excellent

"New(ish) hotel, just 5 minutes walk east of Kanazawa Station. We enjoyed our 6 night stay. Although breakfast was not included in our rate, we did pay on 2 separate days to have their tasty breakfast buffet, which included breaded shrimp, curry, tuna sashimi, etc. Helpful staff. There is a community park close by with a walking track."

Super Hotel Premier Kanazawaeki Higashiguchi

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed two nights in Kanazawa and the hotel was great in every way. Walking distance from the train station and close to many tourist areas. The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and professional. If you’re looking for an affordable hotel near the train station, I’d suggest staying here. We will be back…"
