An authentic "Homosassa Riverfront Retreat", ready for you, friends and family to enjoy. Private Community Boat Ramp included! No Pets allowed!

Our "5 Star" guest rated 3BR/2BA home is centrally located near the Homosassa Springs for manatee viewing and the Gulf for secluded beaches, great fishing and catching scallops. Deep water dock directly on the Homosassa River in a No Wake zone. Also it is located 12 miles from World Woods Golf Club, Florida’s only 5 star public course.

Look on the map and see the short easy walk from the home to waterfront restaurants and Tiki-bars. Forget something? Take a quick trip, walk or bike ride down the street, buy a gallon of milk, a bottle of wine, groceries, beer and more.

Explore the town of Homosassa with a boat ride, paddle or scenic drive to local restaurants, stores, shopping areas and attractions. Or choose instead to go off the beaten path and find your own secluded waterways. The special places nearby, where a mother manatee swims with her calf in clear waters full of fish. Places like the backyard deck where dolphin swim, manatee visit and friendly birds fly and visit each day. You'll be in the middle of everything you want and perfectly far enough away from it all.

The residence is fully furnished in every way. Comfortable beds sleep 6 adults or children. Cook your meals in the fully equipped kitchen or walk outside to one of the deck-side grills. Free cable television and free wireless Internet is included. Enjoy the screened outdoor Lanai or relax on the large waterside deck. Save your vacation money using the (included) two tandem kayaks. All available for your free use as our guests, with helmets and lot's of gear and extra's for water play or a fun trip to the nearby springs.

Have a rainy Florida day? Relax and enjoy yourself under the cover of the screened Lanai.

Boaters will love the new deep water 28' dock plus 59' more feet of "no-wake" seawall space and our nearby private Community Boat Ramp. A boat trailer can be parked onsite. Your Boat, kayaks, canoes and jet skis can be left ready to go and secured on the many dock areas. Walk out back and swim with the manatee or jump into your boat, kayaks or canoe, the large double waterfront lot provides over 100' of docking options with cleats.

The deck area is large and within arm's reach of the Manatees, Dolphins, River Otters and Fish. Watch and enjoy the local wildlife or catch fish and blue crabs right here. We include fishing rods, tackle and crab traps for your use. The sink located on the Deck will help you clean your fish & scallops, (plus keep your hands clean).

Wild Life Galore

Great river views with dozens of ducks of all sizes and a heron you can almost feed by hand. House is in a nice location and comfortable.

Great location!

We loved this house! It’s right on the water and provides kayaks, life jackets and much more! We spent a lot of time on the water and on the dock fishing. The house is clean and comfortable. We will be back for sure!

Great River House

This house is a great location for spending time on the river. House is very well supplied with everything for a great stay. The dock was great for those bringing a boat. Home was very clean and owner was very responsive. Would absolutely stay here again.

Gorgeous view!

My family and I met there for Thanksgiving, as it is halfway between Naples and Tallahassee, where I have one son in school. We had a great time kayaking on the river and watching all the wildlife from the dock. A baby manatee swim right under the dock! The house was well stocked, and the owners were super accommodating.

Quiet riverfront retreat

Had a great time in this beautiful home. The home owner was quick to respond to any questions and was available to text or call throughout our stay. The house has a dock large enough for our 24’ boat, and the open floor plan and living area was spacious. Fully furnished kitchen, three bedrooms and two bathrooms made our stay feel like a home away from home. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

Tranquility

If you want peace & relaxation , this is the place! Beautiful ,spacious home in quiet neighborhood.We had 4 adults (60+) and had more than enough space! Sitting on the screened in porch was great to watch the plentiful wildlife! Ray&Barb(owners) were easy to communicate with and were very accommodating. First time Hubby and I went kayaking! Super fun !Everthing you need is close by!

Great place on the river

Great location on the river with a boat ramp 50 yards away to launch our 22' bay boat. The house is a bit dated so if you like fancy look elsewhere. We absolutely loved it because of the great back yard and back porch, the large dock and river view, and the boat ramp. We were rarely there except to sleep or shower, the rest of the time was spent on the boat at the springs or fishing out in gulf. If you bring a boat here, bring 100' of extension cord to plug in your battery chargers as there is no power on or near the dock.

Perfect Riverfront retreat

First off, the hosts were very pleasant very responsive and easy to work with. I would book with them again. The property was larger than expected for the area. I was able to park my 4Runner and trailer there with ease and options. The boat dock was well placed and well maintained. The house had several coffee pots which was great because I am a drip coffee guy. There were 2 refrigerators and an ice machine across the main street. Restaurants upon restaurants that you can take the boat to or drive. The kitchen was full and clean. The seawall was lengthy and we saw a few manatees and lots of dolphins. The property is situated right across from the spring which was just a short boat ride. This place is awesome.

Rest, Relaxation, Fishing, and Fun!

We truly need enjoyed our week at this home. The view is beautiful and most of the week it was quiet and peaceful. During the weekend there was a lot of boat traffic but we enjoyed watching that too! We saw manatees almost daily swim by the house and the last 2 days dolphins swam right up along the wall of the property. We had a blue heron that visited us daily whom we named Ricky. He did receive a few snacks from us when he visited. From the deck we caught catfish, a sting ray, gar, a large mouth bass, and 2 sharks! The area has several great restaurants and we enjoyed many of them. It is wonderful that the house comes with kayaks and we did take them out. My only suggestion for those is perhaps some upgraded seating pads to place in them or maybe it is the way those particular tandem kayaks were designed but they are very uncomfortable. The single kayak was great. The house had everything we needed and is spacious. It could use some updating, but it did not effect our comfort or stay. Check out instructions are a little more than typical for cleaning, no cleaning fee. However, if you’re trying to cut out early in morning in front of a very long drive this could delay you. Larger washer is needed to fit all the towels and sheets before departure. Overall, we are glad we selected this home and location. We had a wonderful time. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Ridiculous Expectations

The home is as advertised, simple, nothing spectacular but a great location, great price. Had to call a few times to get the door code but no biggie.Ray and Barbs expectations for house conditions upon check out are a little ridiculous. I understand that, no cleaning fee was charged, and rule is to "Clean as you found it." Before we checked out, we cleaned/wiped the home, placed all linens in washer machine. Clean the dishes, cleaned the backyard, return items to shelves. We did everything short of cutting the grass. But they found "poop on the floor" outside of the toilet. Yeah right. Supposedly they found trash on the floor. Yes I moved the furniture around a bit, it's not like I moved it across the house. I think in order to satisfy Ray and Barb, you better take pictures of everything in the house as you arrive. Make a comparisons before you leave. Because there's a good chance they will "say" something wasn't as you found it.

Third time was charming

This was our third trip to this property in Homosassa Fl. We love it there on the river. Great fishing off the dock, 16 manatees paid us a visit. So much to do nearby and the house is perfect.
