「Really nice 3 star close to Lindisfarne. Perfect for judging the crossing times to the island and close enough by car to Berwick upon Tweed for a great choice of restaurants. Banburgh Castle is also close-by.」

「Room was spot on for our needs.Very comfy beds.Breakfast was decent enough.No tomatoes,mushrooms..That to me is a full English.Staff very helpful.Asked for iron and ironing board.It was waiting outside our room n our return.Would definitely recommend.」

「We really enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse: quiet bucolic location, handsome and spotless, well-maintained house, We stayed in the Tweed room which was spacious and had everything we needed (including an excellent high pressure shower!). Peter and Sheila were great hosts and cooked breakfast to order each day and made sure we had everything we needed. Would happily return!」

「A beautiful hotel with very generous sized, clean, cosy rooms; well stocked with tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits. Unfortunately though, our mattress and pillows were quite hard making for an uncomfortable night's sleep. An excellent breakfast with a very good choice of cooked food, fresh fruit, pastries and cereals etc. It would be even better if you could have a latte instead of the filter coffee but that is only a small thing.」

「I would avoid the skylight rooms . No secondary escape access in the event of a fire is a concern I voiced with reception and was consistently rebuffed with there is an escape plan on back of the room door . Also there was a smell of drains that seems to coincide with incline tides ! . Maybe a coincidence .」

「We stayed one Saturday night in early August. A nice welcoming hotel with ample parking. We had a premier room which was very comfortable, quiet, and had pleasant views over the gardens. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and reminded us that everything in the minibar was complimentary! As we’d eaten prior to arriving, the snacks and drinks - both alcoholic and soft were just enough to keep us satisfied until our good night’s sleep.
