The kitchen has everything you need. If you forgot anything, it is probably there! They even provide snacks which my kids loved! We would definitely stay there again!

Clean home in gorgeous location

This home had lots of character, was clean and well-stocked, with great access to Big Red and a beautiful beach. The snacks and drinks waiting for us were much welcomed before we had a chance to do our grocery run.Our party of 7 enjoyed actual beds for everyone and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. The house is a 10 min drive to all the restaurants and stores in Holland but we liked staying away from the hustle and bustle.

Great Place. Great Times.

From check in to check out this was a fantastic trip! The house was super clean and stocked with thoughtful extras. The extra touches made our girls trip that much more special that gave a feeling of home away from home. These touches gave the feeling that we and the property were well cared for. A few toiletry items, a snack and hand written notes were so nice to see! There were beach towels, beach chairs, and wagons to cart everything! The beach was perfect and an easy walk. We didn’t see many sail boats moving but we did get to see a freighter head in. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We would love to come back again!

This quaint cottage nestled on the hillside of Lake Macatawa facing the marina is a slice of heaven with a dollop of tender family memories sprinkled on top! Our adult kids and granddaughter relished its history, its owner's thoughtful accoutrements, its proximity to Lake Michigan and Holland, and its incredible quietness even when situated on the area's main thoroughfare. You felt its departed owner's love, warmth and heartfelt embrace upon entering which allowed our family to settle in and feel as if we were at Granny's. So much love and laughter took place in the well-appointed kitchen and dining area, engaging conversations and competitive board games in its living area, with coffee, naps and reading in solitude within the pine study's walls. Cozy throw blankets, fluffy robes, scenic hot tub, and enough space to spread out were the proverbial cherry on top! Arriving to fresh flowers, wine, treats, and a hearty welcome and the Tazelaar heir's sweet hand-written thank you note on check out day made it all the more special. This family will definitely return to make more precious memories in this lovely home away from home!!!

Great house...Great location!

This was our third stay at this cottage right across from the marina on Lake Macatawa. The house is charming with a very well stocked kitchen, hot tub, fire pit and many extras which show the owners truly want to make their guests feel welcomed and at home.

The absolute best stay!!

I stayed here on Friday night with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding and my husband stayed with me on Saturday night. The house is very cute decor/design, very roomy. The hot tub was very enjoyable both nights! I enjoyed the chase lounge where I sat there for a few hours writing out my vows lol. The view is incredible of the marina!! The day after the wedding, my photographer met us at the home for another photo session on the beach and lighthouse. The owners of the home met us there drove us to the beach and picked us backup when we were done. They also allowed us to change clothes in the basement for our next session after we were already checked out. Words cannot express how grateful we are too them for not only having a perfect stay in there beautiful home but an incredible day after photo session, due to there incredible hospitality. The owner also gave me a book on the history of the lighthouse which was very thoughtful and I can’t wait to read more about it. We loved our stay so much we are planning on coming back for an anniversary in the next year or 2. Hopefully can enjoy more of the house since it was such a busy couple of days that we were there ❤️

A magical time in Macatawa

The Tazelaar cottage was an amazing space to spend a couple of nights in Macatawa! The rooms were wonderfully decorated in local themes, and everything was completely spotless. The home itself was a vintage cottage with an amazing view of the marina, really giving a feel for the history of the area, which is why we came. Everything in the cottage was easy to find and everything was well stocked. The snacks and wine were a very nice touch, as were the truffles on the beds! We needed absolutely nothing while we were there; we had everything at our fingertips. We both commented that not once did we ever feel like there was something that we wanted or need that was on hand. Importantly, we had access to the beach area, which was why we came to visit. The guards at the gatehouse were pleasant and helpful. This place was worth every penny and would be great for families, couples, or friends. An amazing experience overall!

Winter weekend getaway

This was the perfect place to spend a fun weekend with my friends. The host was extremely thoughtful leaving us a small "care package" upon our arrival. This place is CLEAN, location is BEAUTIFUL, and it was equipped with ABSOLUTELY every accommodation we needed. This was especially great for when we cooked in a couple times. The only thing that was missing was a pizza cutter for our late-night snack :-) I would absolutely rent this place again...my friends all agreed! Phenomenal!!!

This cottage is snuggled inside the perfect, quiet, and private neighborhood a short walk to a private beach! My husband and I will 100% be back and couldn’t get enough of this location as well as every single little detail in the home from nightlights all over the house to little notes on how to work things to even a bottle of wine and snacks throughout! This owner knows exactly how to set up the PERFECT home!! Thank you so much for the accommodations!!❤️❤️

Tazelaar Vacation

Went with my husband, daughter and her family. We had a great time...house was clean and accommodating and there were several things to do in and around the area. Would definitely go back. Loved the view off the porches and enjoyed the private beach.
