"My husband and 2 daughters stayed for 7 nights at the Gastof Eiserne Hand while visiting the area to ski and watch the Free Ride World Tour event. They had the most amazing hospitality from Markus and Micel and stated "it was the best place we have ever stayed". The beds were comfortable, the location beautiful, the breakfast delicous and the after dinner schnaps very much enjoyed. Markus and Micel are two of the best hosts you'll every find, kind, gracious and accomadating. We can't wait to return! "

"We really enjoyed the location and the on-site amenities. The breakfast was fantastic, and the spa and gym are better than most hotel facilities. The restaurant staff were great. Highly recommend - the lighting in the rooms could be upgraded."

"Top-quality apartment perfect for our family of six. Beautiful views, nice wood paneling appointments and best modern bathrooms. The ski-room is convenient. The ski-out, ski-in works well, but initially was difficult to figure out because it’s not initially intuitive. The house is close to city-center though up a steep hill. The walk up and down is great exercise :-) Need a good car that can manage steep hill in winter. Communication with local management is non-existent, so the only real problem with this villa is that we have to figure everything out ourselves. We would this property again."

"The apartment was nice with beautiful view. Kitchen was without toaster no ”fairy” and only one tablet for dishwasher. Lack of space to put down your stuff in bathroom. It was my husbands 70th birthday and I asked if I could order something but they said the hotel will bring something which never happened. A chaningroom in spa area would be nice "

"We had the double room with loggia. The rooms were large and bathrooms lovely. The apartment was well stocked with “get started” provisions. The staff were extremely helpful and answered all questions. We would absolutely stay here again. "

"A very nice home. Well stocked with pots, pans, glasses, dishes and silverware. Coffee makers and toaster. Large refrigerator, microwave, oven, dishwasher, etc. Clothes washer, which was much appreciated during our week long stay. Plenty of supplies and spices to get started. We had a group of 10, and the house was perfect. Several of our party flew into MUC and decided not to rent cars, relying almost exclusively on public transport, which is excellent in greater Bavaria. The local train station is a six (6) minute easy walk from the home. Roland was a great host and met us at the house and gave us an overview of the home, and provided us with our Transport Cards which enabled free local public transport. This was great as it got us free access to much of the local area, and great discounts on train tickets for Innsbruck, Zell Am See, and Salzburg. Regarding the house, it is spacious and beautifully decorated. All beds were comfortable, and the heated floors and large back patio were wonderful. In the area are multiple grocery stores, restaurants and cafes that are in Fieberbrunn which is a one-stop train ride or short drive from Pfaffenschwendt. Pfaffenschwendt is an idyllic Austrian community of several dozen homes surrounded by mountains and farm fields. Gorgeous views from the home’s bedroom balconies and patio. We would definitely choose this home again if staying in Austria. "
